Anyone read the book Uglies besides me and Elyssa? Well they're making it into a movie! I can't wait to see it, whenever it comes out of course. They're casting all new "celebrities" as Tally and Shay, instead of some gorgeous famous person. It would defeat the purpose of them being "ugly." Anyone else excited to see this enjoyable book come to life?

Oh, that's so exciting! I starting reading them about 3 or 4 years ago the first time and just recently reread them and finished Extras. Love this series!
Oh cools! I'm currently reading Pretties; I haven't been able to buy Specials yet, but I have Extras. I got confused on which one was the last one. He could have made it just a little more obvious. LOL :)

That would be cool. I will be finishing Uglies today at work probly as long as we are not too busy. How are the next books in the series? I can't wait to read them but I haven't heard too many good reviews on the following books. Can't wait for the movie now tho. That will be exciting!!!
I find that when most people talk about Uglies they are usually lumping all of the books together. I haven't decided if that is a good or bad thing. I would like to think good since I will be starting Pretties soon.
The entire series is really good. If Hollywood does it well, the movie should be, too. But I'm not setting my expectations too high (like I did with The Dark is Rising, Prince Caspian, Eragon and countless others).
Books will just always be better. It's too bad that many people just wait for the movie to come out so they don't have to read the book.

well i finally finished Uglies at work yesterday...I didn't finish earlier because we were really busy at work:( but anyhow I finished and I really liked and I will just have to wait for pretties to come in at the library now!!!

That was great! It was a very creative and eye popping diversion for sure. Great pick.
I liked the part in the beginning where they had Tally creeping under the bridge. Fun. Then when she showed Shay how to get back to the other side from the rope.

i don't really like these books, and now theres a movie?i don't know why but thers something about it....
They are weird, plot wise. However, I found the writing to flow nicely that I 50 pages felt like 10.

Out of curiosity, why don't you like the Uglies series?
Now I have got to read the book before the movie comes out! I've been wanting to read it for awhile now but... you know how it so many books and definitely NOT enough time.

i really don't know.. they sort of confuse me, with the mind rain thing and all....
I go to pick up Pretties at the library tomorrow finally!!!!! It's perfect pick up more books for reading on my bday:)

i think shed be good because in bones she was...cold in the beginning.and she has those sharp features and the blue eyes
I love her! I don't remember her being cold but I bought the first two seasons of bones so when I watch them it'll jog my memory
