Analysis:What was the Theme Of this book

When Mr.Feynman Visited a Buddist Temple in Hawaii What did the man mean When he said " To every man a key to the gates of heaven is given. The same key opens the gates of hell"
Desmond i think that waht the buddhist monk means by this is that we control were we go in life and after life. He is saying that by the decsions that we make we take a root with our "keys" to ether the gates of heaven o the gates of hell. It's kinda like the poem "road not taken" by robert frost. What frost says in the poem is how when a road spilts and we take one we always wonder what would have happened if we took the other road and how it affects our life and how it changes what happens at the end of the rail. This is also what the buddist monk is saying because if we have the key to both gates then what we do with our keys and our life decides what gate we end at.

I believe that the buddist monk is trying to say that we control which path we go in the afterlife while we are still living. The key symbols our descions or actions. If we make good decisions and actions then we will open the gate to heaven, but if we make bad descions and actions we will open the gate to hell. This was a very wise statement the monk made. This type of wisdom comes from years of experience, which I hope to gain once I get older. Many people have questions about the afterlife and the only way they will be answered is by dying.

I do agree with Mr. Feynman, that a desscion is good or bad with whatever choice you make. Take the war in Iraq it was a good and bad descion, the president wanted to fight the war on terror which is good, but it is bad because many families have lost relatives protecting our country. Everyone wishes to have peace, but Mr. Feynman said that peace has its goods and bads. Which I agree with as well because having peace makes a country or countries more vunurable for being attacked.

I think that he is trying to say that it is our choice to go where we want in life. We are given the key to life, how we use it is our choice. I think this also relates to when he said, "a chioce can be made good or bad with whatever decision we make." He is saying that our lives are not chosen for us, we decide what we want in life and we dig our own graves. If we decide we want to go to Heaven then were goin to heaven if we want to go to Hell then were goin to hell.

If i found an undercover lad with uncurable diseases in it I would be terrified. would contact the CDC immediately. I would be scared that some diseases may be airborn and could be harming me as i speak. My main goal would be to contact the CDC and get the diseases somewhere safe. After they were somewhere safe i would go to the doctor and get checked out.

Application- How would you react if you found an undercover lab that produced uncurable diseases?
Actually I would be Very Disappointed and Scared. The government Should have closed this down a long time ago. And the Scientist and Owner Should be given the Death penalty. Not to mention I may have been infected So I would go to a Doctor.

Evaluation: Do you think Nuclear Energy is a good or a bad thing?
I believe Nuclear Energy can be a good thing and can also be a bad thing. Like Feynman said, a key can open either heaven, so it can either be used for good or evil. America would like to have it because it protects us but we are also afraid of nuclear war. What do you believe?

Evaluation: Do u agree with Feynman when he says that a decision is good or bad with whatever choice you make?
I do agree with this because anything can be good for a certain person and bad for another. In the book, Feynman is talking about how in all aspects of science everything has either a bad or good effect. For example, when scientists find antibiotics for a disease there are people in a lab trying to find a disease others cannot cure. What are other examples of this in your life?
Application- How would you react if you found an undercover lab that produced uncurable diseases?
Evaluation- Do you agree that peace is a great force for good or for evil?
Synthesis- Do you think this book can have music? If so what type?
