I adored Charlie and Hurleys relationship. It was that cool, best buds, sidekicky kinda friendship. Since Charlie is gone, Hurley is more dark and depressed....

I also liked Charlie and Claires relationship alot. He got her pretend peanut butter (awwww....) and helped her care for Aaron (awww....) and kicked a nasty herion addiction.... and then sacrificed himself to save the others....

The show is not the same without him!

I also love Locke. I thought he was a creepy cool in the begining (remember the scene when he smiled at Claire with the orange in his mouth? and when he befriended Walt by asking him 'wanna know a secret?') His character has evolved so much over the seasons that I cant help but root for him to get to the bottom of the island and what it stands for! Totally Team Locke!!

I also love the way Desmond has been pulled into the mix. In the begining I really didnt care for him, but now that hes all prophetic and gaga over Penny, I find myself wanting more and more Dessy!

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 149 comments It's really funny but I hated Charlie from Episode 1. First off, he's always going to be a hobbit so I could never look at him without thinking that he should be taking the ring to Mordor. Next, he was just too too tormented. He just never had a good day, and he was always moaning about it. I just wanted to smack him and say "all of you have issues! get the hell over yourself! stop kidnapping babies!" So, yeah, not sad he's dead. If they'll just kill off Claire they would have gotten rid of all of my least favorite characters (luckily they killed Shannon and Boon early).

There's a definite tie for my two favorites. Sayid and Sawyer are so very similar, though so very different. It's almost like they're two sides of the same coin. Sawyer is, on face, extremely self-centered and untrustworthy. Yet when it comes down to it, he really cares about the other Losties, Kate and Claire especially.

At the same time, Sayid seems like a very genial and affable person who is capable of inflicting extremely brutal torture upon someone who has crossed him. If there had been a Team Sayid, I would have followed that one. I'm glad to see that he's one of the Oceanic 6, and that he's getting a measure of revenge against Widmore.

Haa haa... I totally agree with Boone and Shannon. They were just annoying eye candy for the viewers and really didnt add much to the show.

And thank heavens Nikki and Paulo didnt stick around! I resented the writers for even bringing them on board. They re-edited old episodes to make it appear as tho theyhad been there all along, and it aggrivated me. (They did the same thing with Moley (Goodmans wife/ Juliettes therapist)... They need to stick with the original cast. There is more than enough of them to build a great show, and tons of answers that need to be given, without throwing in token 'new guys' and trying to squeeze them in as well!

"Don't tell me what I can't do!" - ala Locke!

Lori O o o! On another board, I'm the only Locke fan! I'm in good company here!

Kate - she can be such a bitch can't she? Teasing Sawyer like that.

Sawyer - The more time passes, the cooler he becomes. He's now endeared to me - wasn't he sweet and ultra-protective of Claire last week?

Claire - please die already. Terrible actress. Disappearing will do, but lame.

Desmond - Yeah, I think he's quite niiiiice. Every single one of his episodes has been killer, too.

Ben- someone needs to kill him badly. I haaaaate him. Emerson deserves an Emmy.

Jack - can be such an asshole!

Sayid - I can't believe he fell for Ben's BS! Ben's the one who killed Nadia.

Nikki and Paolo - undeserving characters, but their last episode was Twilight Zone brilliant. I wasn't spoiled for that and was I glad! Ever since then, I don't read spoilers for Lost.

I adore Jin and Sun. And Jin is also niiiiiice to look at!

Sherry I have a couple of faves.(too hard to pick just one)I find as the series progresses my favourite changes. In the very beginning it was a toss up between Jack and Locke, with a soft spot for Hurley because he was so sweet. Then Jack became to uptight and bossy so Locke became my favourite. He kinda had a zen like attitude I appreciated which was a nice contrast to Jack. Now Locke is getting a little to intense and dropped the whole zen like persona and I have to say that Sawyer is looking pretty good to me(he's not just a pretty face!)With still a soft spot for Hurley though I admit it's hard to maintain what with the creepy depression and all.
But ever since he organized the golf game I've liked his character.

Lorena (lorenalilian) | 148 comments Logan, you are too funny, I had a hard time with Charlie for that very same reason, but I miss him anyway, he had a good story and so many demons to work out, he overcame sooo much!

I love everything Sayid, come on, you must, he is a great actor and has a fantastic story-line here, although I am stil mad at him for falling in Ben's side. AGGHH!

Sawyer and Jack, Love them, Love them, Love them a girl needs eye candy, and they are very interesting, both stories and the constant battle and tension between them deeelish!

Juliet, very cool, I want to know more and more about her, every episode that has to do with her flashbacks is always great for me.

I did liked Sun a lot too, her story was great and I want to know more about her.

Lori -- I really like Ben, I mean, I dont LIKE him, but I love the evilness and calm -- he gets his ass kicked every episode and STILL asks for more... I agree... Emmy this man!

Since you listed just about every main character on the show, whats your take on Hurley and Juliet?

I want to clarify something here, Charlie himself was never my favorite (my kids adored him, tho i think it was residual from LOTR), I just really liked the whole "charlie/hurley", and "charlie/claire" thing.... seperate.. not so much!

And sayid is super hot when he is on the island.. off the island... uhm... he seems a little girly to me. I dont know what it is exactly... hmmm...

Lorena (lorenalilian) | 148 comments Its the half shirt, dirty-sweaty thing. Off the island he shares Ricky Martin's Stylist ...

Mona | 4 comments I love Hurley's honesty and loyalty.

I loved Claire and Charlie's relationship. They way he took care of Aaron...

Locke is an incredible character. So much going on there... so much pain and so much promise.

I loved the episode where it showed Desmond's back story and his relationship with Penny.

Sayid is a great character too. Love how his whole being revolves around the love he had for his wife.

Ben scares me... those eyes... he can be so creepy sometimes. But, he also challenges me to think about what is really going on... how one person can make such a change in everyone.

Jack is a complex character too.... I still can't figure out what's going on with his father!

message 14: by Lori (new)

Lori My take on Hurley is I just adore him, always have. And yes, the golf game was a clincher.

Juliet is the one I identify with the most. So I better like her! I'm not a doctor, or as magnificently cool as her, but she comes across as calm, older and wiser, with the patience gained by experience. Can't say I have the mystery she exudes!

message 15: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 332 comments I love Kate, she's tough and she's sweet, and her killing her mother's abusive husband was really sweet and brave. It's soo sad her mother's such a bitch though. Desmond so freaking rocks! I loved him by the time they had that time traveling episode. And the last episode with him and Penny was a heartbreaker. I really like Sayid as well. Juliet is really cool as well, tougher than Kate and can kinda be a bitch sometimes, but, she's really interesting. Locke is really awesome as well, his relationship with Jack was always really interesing to me.
