Definitely fine to start this thread, Anastasia!
I've watched quite a few episodes of Chuck, but not every one. It's just seems to get a little silly sometimes. One of these days I'll probably go back and watch them all on DVD. I agree that Adam Baldwin is brilliant!

Silly is good though, sometimes you get weird looks at work and in life if you're being silly. If you ever feel down, Chuck is the sort of a show that'll make you laugh. At least that's the case with me. Adam is the one who really nails it down for me though. (and it's a personal opinion) Casey doesn't have a lot of dialogue, it's mostly looks and glares, grunts and the typical marine thing; but when he does have dialogue it's usually great coupled with a look/glare or grunt.
I particularly liked his introduction on the show, the first time we see Casey is right after he shoots Bryce Larkin and goes "Don't Move."
You're right! Silly can be good. I really will have to catch up with Chuck on DVD one of these days - especially to watch Adam Baldwin.
Adam Baldwin continues to crack me up every time I see him as Casey. but you can see the difference between Casey and Jayne in the way Adam portrays the characters. Summer Glau recently guested on Chuck, but IMO, I expected more from those scenes. maybe because i'm spoiled by Nathan Fillion and Castle. ^^
Chuck returned with a series high last night. good to hear. I do hope it gets renewed for season 5. I love Adam Baldwin as Casey. they need to get Betty White on the show, definite ratings boost
Have just watched the first season of Chuck and I loved it!! it was so cool;) I love Casey as well:):):)
How'd you like his intro? Shoots Bryce then goes "Don't move" - that just snowed what kind of a character he is right there and then.
I really liked his portrayal of Jane in Firefly and his agent persona in Chuck. Will be seeing him on Feb 18-20 at the Farpoint convention in Timonium MD. It's a really small convention so access should be good.Looks like others are joining the con, you can get news at farpoint.wordpress.com or it's main site at farpointcon.com
I am not part of the convention, just one that has attended in the past and have registerd for this year's convention as well.
I've been watching Chuck (since the beginning of this season) and though it doesn't come close to comparing with Firefly, I do enjoy it. Casey is a lot like Jayne in many ways, and I was delighted when they brought in Summer Glau.
Ditto, but I was a bit disappointed by Summer Glau's appearance. they could've done a bit more with it.Casey is different to Jayne though. Jayne's loyalties flip depending on convenience and how much he's getting paid, but we all know where Casey's loyalties lie.
Casey is more than willing to sacrifice himself for his team and country....Jayne is more than willing to sacrifice others to save himself,

how cool is Adam Balwdin as Casey? His dialogue and facial expressions are just brilliant, as are the well placed grunts.
