Hi Allie! I'm Stephanie, 22, and I'm currently living in Montreal, Canada, where I'm studying Optometry. I'm not in a real life book club (I haven't really found one but it's something I would love to be a part of) but I am in a few book clubs on this site. I just find that there's too many people in them or just not enough activity. Hopefully, this one will turn out to be exactly what I'm looking for.Obviously I love reading but I also enjoy watching tv, movies, and skating. I'm starting to learn how to knit and I'm really liking!
Anyways, that's a little about me!
Thanks for joining! I cannot wait for this to get started =]Stéphanie wrote: "I'm starting to learn how to knit and I'm really liking! "
I looooove knitting. I just wish I had more time to spend on it. And I wish I enjoyed audio books; then I could kill two birds with one stone!
I'm Christa and every year since 2006, I've done a 50-book challenge with myself (where I read 50 books before the year ends). Typically, I finish it twice! This year I've been slacking a bit, so I'm hoping this book will get me back on track with rekindling my love of reading.I work at a Graphic Design/Printshop; attend classes for a degree in business; and play guitar, piano and ukulele (as of yesterday!). I also sing a bit. I wish there was more time for all the hobbies I'd like to pursue (like knitting, quilting, cooking, learning languages), but I'll have to settle for now, haha.
I'm Chelsea, 20, from Oklahoma. I have a very bad tendency to read no less than nine books at a time and start new ones whenever my mood changes, which means I don't usually do well with things like this because it takes me so long to finish one book. But I love reading, so much so that I'm currently considering some sort of library career, and every other Goodreads group I've found is either too huge or too inactive, so hopefully this one will be just right :)
I play piano, run when I get the chance, write (mostly bad poetry), climb trees, cuddle kittens and drink unhealthy amounts of coffee.

Chelsea: I am almost always reading three books at one time. Some books just take longer for me to read and others I devour. I hope this group is just right, as well =]
Chelsea, I also drink unhealthy amounts of coffee. Bad habit but I just can't get enough of the stuff. lol
Heidi, 24, currently residing in Idaho (where I grew up), but my heart and home are in Chicago.I am currently working as a substitute teacher, but my dream is to have a classroom (elementary) of my own and eventually be a school librarian. I love to read (obviously) and have been known to read too many books at one time like some of the others here.
In my time when I'm not reading or working, I play video games, cross stitch, sew, make jewelry, and sleep.
Hey everyone! I’m Jodi, 22, just married and am always in need of a good book to read. I moved to Louisiana in August and am going to grad school online for applied dietetics. While I am working on my degree I am a stay at home mom for my two dogs and cat. I always have the complete works of Jane Austen, Jane Eyre and at least 1 of the Harry Potter novels on my night stand at all times. I love to cook, read, shop, play the sims and am trying to learn how to sew and crochet.
Alison, 20, from maine. I'm going to school for pre-pharmacy right now and am a manager at a fast food restaurant. Which sucks a lot. I love photography and also enjoy other art medias such as drawing, painting and pastel but only on a personal level. Photography I would like to do something with but do not have the time to put serious effort into it right now. Of course, I also love reading, but its such a distraction for me so this book club might lead to bad things productivity wise.
Hello,I'm Leigha. I'm 25. I work full time at an auto-shop on the retail side. I've been slacking in the reading department, other things have taken over my life *cough* the computer *cough* but I hoped to get back into the swing of things once things were a little more settled with the new job. I get paid on Friday, so I can start participating in my book clubs, though I am looking into finding the books at the library as soon as I can!
I love all sorts of books and I thought joining some book clubs would introduce me to books I'd otherwise never pick up on my own.
Alison and Leigha, thank you both for joining! So sorry it took me so long to respond! I never received notifications that you guys responded =/But again, thank you for joining! Cannot wait to read with you guys =]
Ugh, I know I'm way late doing this, but the semester has been just craptastic enough I've not wanted to even LOOK at a book, much less read one.So....
I'm Heather, 22, engaged, and an art history major (at least for now) in New Jersey. I've recently taken up knitting, though I've not made much progress this semester, and soap making. It's just heat and pour right now while I work out the scents and all that fun stuff, but once I learn how to make lye this summer, it will all be from scratch :)
I do love reading, though from what I can tell, my personal tastes are a little different from the rest of the group's. I tend to prefer authors like Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, but I'll really read just about anything if it looks interesting.
I guess that's it. I'm terrible at these introduction things.

I'm Allie, 23, engaged, early ed major with plans to educate children who are Deaf in TN. Things I enjoy are: Reading (of course), knitting, photography, movies, music, art related things.
I started this because I enjoy reading. A lot. I'm already in a book club in real life and I love it, but meeting once a month just isn't enough. I've joined groups on this site but it still wasn't what I really wanted. So I've started my own. And I've got a good group of people to start it with me =]
Sooo...how about you?
