Ooh and While You Were Sleeping. One of my faves too, Danielle.
Danielle "The Book Huntress" wrote: "While You Were Sleeping is my favorite."Watched this one tonight with my 9 yr old. She loved it!
Its kind of neat watching some of my fave movies and seeing if my daughter loves them too. We mostly have the same taste.
- Say Anything, from the 80's. John Cusack and his boom box still make me sigh.
- Almost all the John Hughes movies of my teenage years.
- Princess Bride, always.
- And I know it's SO corny, but Love Actually always makes me go a little gooey inside, mostly because of my secret husband, Colin Firth.
- Speaking of my one true love, does Pride and Prejudice count as a rom-com? Mmmm...Colin...

Just watched Glass Bottom Boat with Doris Day and Rod Taylor. I love the older movies and I love that I can watch them with my 9 yr old and not have to worry. Anyway my 9 yr old loved it too :)
I love the older romantic comedies, too. Doris Day rocks! I'm also a big fan of Jack Lemmon, James Garner, and Shirley MacLaine.
Pillow Talk is one of my favorite Doris Day movies. I just LOVE the scene where Rock Hudson carries Doris day up to his apartment and she demands a police officer arrest him! The police officer won't, of course, and sides with Rock Hudson. :)
Doris Day made several movies I really love. Those mentioned and also Move Over Darling, Calamity Jane, Please Don't Eat the Daisies, That Touch of Mink, etc...

My favorite is Lover Come Back. Those movies were so funny. That's what I look for in a good contemporary romance.

I like most of all you all mentioned! I like Hope Floats too..I'm not sure if it's really a comedy, but it def has some funny parts. I just love how Harry Connick won't give up on her.
Speaking of Harry Connick, have you seen New In Town with Renee Zelwegger (can't spell her last name)? It is very funny and he is great in this one!
It really is entertaining. It's not just the funny parts they showed in commercials. She's a corporate exec who works in Florida and has to close down a plant in Minnesota. :-) You should try it.

I love Kate and Leopold, How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, Over My Dead Body, 27 Dresses, and Just Like Heaven.

Funny!
He was great in Clueless and Romeo and Juliet oh and Friends. Love his dry humor.

Yes, Faithmarie, I thought Paul Rudd was funny in Knocked Up. I forgot he was in R&J. At first, when I was scanning Photobucket for Xia, I thought it was strange that he was doing a beefcake picture (not his style). Then I got a closer look at that face he's making in the mirror. LOL!
Yes his humor is great! I didn't see Knocked Up or 40 Year old Virgin.
He was in them all ..... right.

I agree. =)
Hi I love, A Good Year, it's not just a love story about people it's a love story about finding your true self and your place in the world.
Pamela(AllHoney) wrote: "I haven't seen that one, Ian. I may have to check it out."I hope you like it. It's charming.
