The St. Pattie's Day Challenge
I'm going to read
by Maggie Stiefvater. It has four leaf clovers on the cover :) which are green of course lol
I'm going for Lament, as well. Luck has it that I already had it checked out from the library when this challenge came up!
I'm going for:Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning
The setting is in Ireland.
(I might add a couple more books to the mix if I have the time, but for now, I'm just sticking with the 1.)
I'm with Jess and Sarah with reading Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception. I've been meaning to read it since reading Shiver. But I'm also planning on reading Bloody Irish by Bob Curran. It's a book of Celtic Vampire Legends. So it's set in Ireland, and the cover is filled with Green Shamrocks....well of course all green except for that one bloody shamrock in the middle! Too cool!
I going to B&N today to see if I can get any hints from them there. Otherwise I may steal the Lament idea from you all. When I was at B&N last week Bloody Irish was there on clearance. I almost picked it up, but wasn't sure it would keep me interested.
I'm going to read
What to do with a Naked Leprechaun. I've been looking for an excuse and this is it.
PS - If anyone is having trouble thinking of something. The Katie Macallister series with Aisling Grey, or even the Silver Dragon series would apply because the characters have dragons who are gold obsessed :)
Read: 2/2All done! Great books this challenge!
Green Cvr:
Set in Ireland:
Darcy - That's exactly where I found the book! But it really piqued my interest. I love reading old Celtic folklore.

I think I have managed to find some books today that will fit the bill for this one.I am going to listen to
on audio. It will be a "re-read" for me but I like to listen to books after reading them as it often puts them in a different light.I also have the following on order from interlibrary loan, not sure when I will get them, but will try.

and
It is an eclectic mix I realize, but I should be able to get at least one in time.

Im going to read a historical romance by Teresa Medeiros called
cause it takes place in Ireland and since all of my paranormal books that I have take place in Scotland or England Ill read that and take a break from paranormal for a while. Ill be the different one.
I had the hardest time finding anything set in Ireland! Tons in Scotland and England and about 3 in Wales.
I know what you are talking about. I stumped the B&N people when I went. The lady helped me for 30 minutes and the only thing we came up with was the Naked Dragon one.
lol.. sorry, I didn't realize there wasn't going to be much set in Ireland! Should we extend it to Scotland?

And he looks like he has boobies.
I think I will try
Irish Magic Four Tales of Romance and Enchantment from Four Acclaimed AuthorsAnd
From Isles of DreamBoth are short stories set in Ireland the second one is celtic poetry.
My friend at the library told me about this one Ladies' Night at Finbar's Hotel, it might be a good one to check out.

He looks like a sim, idk but he just does and its just ..... interesting......
I think I'll read Darkfever or Lament. Hopefully I can get them both. Seeing as this is my first ever challenge on Goodreads I'm pretty excited.

"Darcy: This was available at my library. So I've picked it up for my challenge.
So far there have been some great book picked! I'll have to see how everyone likes them all, and I have a feeling that my TBR pile is about to grow!

..."I actually have it too. It will be interesting to see how all of these books are.
and Falling, Fly is a new UF book that releases on March 2nd. It's set in Ireland, and I believe the hero is Irish as well.
I just got Lament from the library.. I'll be starting it sometime later today I believe. Unless I get sick again :(
I'm in the middle of reading/listening to 2 of these right now.
, the first story was super funny and
listening to on audio. I have a couple of others in transit from the library.
Amanda wrote: "*the cover is green Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon done!"
Amanda did you like it???
Kelley Anne - I would read the sequel, I haven't seen anything on goodreads about a sequel yet though. But it's more out of curiosity for some plot lines that didn't feel completed.
It was just sort of "meh". I probably won't read the book over again, but it wasn't dreadful. It was just.. "meh" I can't really think of another thing to say lol.
I read Ballad before I started Lament--don't know why I read them out of order--and I think Ballad is the better book. Ballad is about James, who was a much more interesting character to me. The plot was better, the stakes were higher, and the ending was resolved. I highly recommend Ballad.Still reserving judgment on Lament until I finish it, but Dee is just not that thrilling.
