Hi - I've taken a little bit too much time to get back here. Sorry.
I wasn't that keen on it either, although I did find myself reading it thinking that it would get better, and that I suppose I did want to know what was going to happen.
I didn't really like or dislike any of the characters - found them all a bit colourless and that I probably wouldn't want to be friends with any of them either. I thought that they were all as bad as each other and that they all wanted something - one way or another.

do you need to identify with the characters to like a book Karen? ... I find it helps but sometimes I prefer that I don't ... you're right about these being colourless tho - and I wonder if it's poor writing or just writing about people who are lifeless ...
No I don't need to identify with them, but I do find that I need to have an opinion of them. Either I need to like them or not like them. In this case I just found them to be......I don't know - I didn't think much of them at all. I found that I really didn't care about them. Wrapped up in things that they were making too big a deal about maybe??

i could see the humour - i just didn't think it was funny ...
if anything i was upset at how badly that poor old man was being treated - even though it turned out he was a little fruity loops and selfish in the end ...
awh poo - and i thought it was going to be good
