Just completed the Sins of the Mother. OMG Great book. I could not put it down. I read it in one day. Sins of the Mother: A Novel
Unburnable by Marie Elena John - After 9 chapters of background and description, things are starting to get interesting.
Just finished up Going Broke (I read the second one first) loved both of them. Today I finished Bedroom Bully (was disappointed with the ending); I am now reading Tortured Soul; Immortal; and I am about to start Trophy Wife and a Fly on the Wall.
Too many books, but reading two books at the same time: Twisted Seduction by N'Tyse and book club read Soon and Very Soon by Sherryle Kiser Jackson (second time in about 3 yrs).
If you need a new book, check out my novel "Single Girl Summer." I describe as a black girl's "Sex and the City." I have great reviews on good reads. Your summer won't be complete without this book!Single Girl Summer

I think I've read 'Incidents' but never heard of '5th Born.' Intriguing title."I just began reading it and its painfully sad, but its intriguing enough. It was in my recommendations and it got a lot of 5 starts so I said why not.
Nothing right now just ordered "Rebels Domain" by Fabiola Joseph. Check out "Twisted Obsession" by me P.Dotson

I'm reading "A story of a death fortold" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez but am about to start "The 12 tribes of Hattie."
Currently reading the much reviewed "Brown Girl, Brownstones", the story of a West Indian girl and her troubled family living in Brooklyn, NY in the forties. Quite a lengthy read and I am past what I thought was the true climax. Excellent prose, nevertheless.www.caribbeanfiction.com
Finished Carl Weber The Man in 3B and it was awesome! Best book I've read in a long time- suspense, funny, mystery, drama, all wrapped in one! I loved it!
I am currently struggling with "White Teeth" by Zadie Smith. Not that it is not a really funny and gripping story in parts, but that it is so bloody long and the chapters shoot off in different directions. A clashing of cultures in post-war England. Who else has read this epic? www.caribbeanfiction.com
I loved White Teeth and all her other books although not as fond of the new one N.W. still a wonderful writer. Getting ready to start Marquez' melancoly whores.
"Why the caged bird sings" by Maya Angelou. Can't believe I am now getting around to reading this gem of a book.

I just finished a legal thriller by real-life attorney Ken Isaacson titled "Silent Counsel." It's about a lawyer who refuses to disclose the identity of his client, a man who killed a little boy in a hit-and-run accident. The story took several unpredictable twists and turns (no pun intended). I highly recommend it.Kelvin L. Reed

Other than my book http://tinyurl.com/chobrz2 (Someone to Restore Me), I am reading Fatal Attraction. Loved the movie. After all these years, it is still awesome. Can't believe I'm just reading the book.

How do you like Octavia Butler? I tried reading something from her a while ago but it didn't hold my interest. It might have been Parable of the Sower. Can you recommend another title from her?
