The "Unix Millenium Bug" hits us at 03:14:07 UTC on Tue 19 January 2038. That's when a ton of computer systems that set the date based on how may seconds have passed since 00:00:00 UTC on Thu 1 January 1970 will hit the max that a 32-bit register can hold. What do you guys think? Yeah, we can upgrade to 64-bit systems, but what about the embedded systems? You think there will be the problems forecast for the Y2K bug (that didn't eventuate...) with Y2K38? I'm not sure, but I definitely won't be taking a lift on Jan 18 or 19 2038!
