...Wow.The best thing thats happened to me this week, is that my evil math teacher decided to be sick today.
I'm not really a generally lucky person, but today was actually quite good.Firstly, today me and four other kids from my school went to "The Briton House Old Age Home" and did our speeches, which was really wincakes cos only four of us out of the school got selected. (I'm going to go ahead and say I'm awesomesauce at public speaking then. XP) Oh, and we had to put on this microphone (the one you put behind your ear and a little snakey thingie comes around your face. It makes sense in my head!) on, and I was totally having a Britney Spears moment. :P
Then we got back to school, which was fortunately a dress down day, and I reconciled with a guy friend who was mad at me for reasons I'm not really sure of. But whatevs.
And our sub teacher was for some reason intimidated by us, so it was really just a big party in science. XP
Oh, and in Language my friend related one of the characters in a book to me, and said that he didn't need to imagine what it would be like to be friends with a character, because me and him are already like this! *intertwines pointer and middle finger*
COOL!Today was actually kind of awesome. In chem, we did a lab and we lit food on fire. Then I found out I got an A+ on my test because my teacher curved it five points. Oh, and then during eighth period (I don't have class then), me and two of my friends had an epic rubber band war while eating large marshmallows leftover from Chem.
It was SO FUN. We just hung out in front of the school, and I watched my friends try and kill each other by slinging rubber bands at each other, and I ate marshmallows and read Frankenstein for my English class. Oh, and then I joined in the rubber band war. I also got some good phone pics of my friend wearing a paper bag on his head, and a video of him talking with two giant marshmallows in his mouth.
OMG you lit food on fire?! *jealousness*You ate marshmellows while attempting to kill each other with rubber bands?! Awesomer!
I forgot, I was forced to sing the national anthem on the P.A. this morning in French with two other guys. *face palm*
It was hilarious though, cos they were nervous and mumbling, and I was full force, so you only really heard me. XP
I just got back from tap, and I'VE FINALLY SUCCEEDED IN DOING A STALL! I know it's a hip hop move, but it's in our tap dance for some reason. -___- Ah, well. Sooo excited I can finally get both feet in the air and kick them about. :D
I can't deal with rubber bands. I have a phobia, ever since I got hit in the eye by one in year 8, I can't deal.
Uh... you guys are weird!!! This is a time to say everything that I'm afraid of and/or grosses me out:1) Bones: So nasty and thet stick out of your body, and they're NASTY!! *gags*
2) Walking up and down stairs in the dark: It's dark, and you don't know if the wall will dissapear, and the floor might go bye-bye too!
3) Iceskating: don't get me started...
4)Heights: Three inches= screaming bloody murder.
5)Eyes/the human body: So... nasty. The blood, the bodily fluids... EWWW!!!!!!
6) Public Speaking: I don't know why, but I freak out and start laughing, then my teachers will do impersonations of me that will make all the students laugh....
Luckiest thing that happens to me: My locker opens. WAHOO!!!
LOL nice!Super-List of Nightshade's Not-So-Secret Biggest Fears
1) Spiders. This doesn't even need an explanation, but I'll give one anyway. They're gross and disgusting and hairy and creepy and the way their legs look when they run across the floor... *shudder* *puke* Kind of like Edward Cullen, but they're smaller.
2) Clowns. Self-explanatory. I mean, they're CLOWNS.
3) Transcontinental flights. I've been reading up on the Bermuda Triangle for a research paper, and I'm going on a transco-flight next year.
Think the plane will crash? Maybe.
Think the plane will have to ditch at sea? Yeah.
Will everyone make it onto the life rafts? Sure.
Will the emergency radio break? Yeah.
Will the backup emergency radio break? Yeah.
Will we all die a horrible, slow death? Yeah.
Am I overreacting? Yes.
Am I still terrified? ABSOLUTELY.
Although I'm good at public speaking. Not sure why/how... I try and read up on whatever I'm presenting so I'm not just reading directly from the poster/slideshow/whatever the whole time. I know how boring that gets, because I'm totally ADD/ADHD and get easily distracted... so I try and ad-lib a little and talk about stuff that isn't on my visual aid-or-whatever. For me, it's easier and seems more natural, and I think it comes across well, too. Plus my teachers get excited. :D
*laughs*That reminds me of a part of a book I read..
"I've always had a fear of clowns, I dont know why, maybe it all started when I went to the circus and a clown stabbed my dad"
...I dont remember it that well.
Rose wrote: "I don't know why people are scared of clowns. I don't get it."Because they're really, REALLY creepy.
Also, my dad hates mimes. A lot. I have no idea why, he just does. XD
Whatever. People don't really scare me.I had a mental breakdown in history today. They were talking about Japanese torture in WWII. The eyes.... needles! EWWWWW!!!!!!!! Almost puked.
Yes, Rose, I think we got that. *twitches*I'm not really afraid of clowns per sei, I just find them more increasingly annoying by each passing second.
My (not at all) secret fear list:
1) Spiders. When Shade started describing them I almost couldn't read on.
2) Small spaces. Wooo, claustrophobia. >:|
3) This isn't really a fear, but I have a very low pain threshold, so I guess getting hurt is number 3.
4) Needles. I'm slowly getting over this one, but it's still there.
Weirdly enough, I can't get enough of public speaking (my Jesus-Freak teacher went into a whole spiel the other day about how public speaking and writing, etc etc, is my "Gift From God" and how the other students shouldn't beat themselves up if they're not very good. Legit.) I looove in-flight turbulence (lets go planes!) and I enjoy heights way more then I should. I feel waaay freer than when I'm on the ground.
Holy Crap In A Bucket that totally reminded me of this one time in Quebec, our teachers made us look at the Montgomery Falls, and I had to drag my friend up on the extreeeemely high platform with the falls underneath us.
I thought it was cool, but noooooo.
It's okay. I'm crazy, too. We can be crazy together! And no, I'm not on meds. Wait, I took allergy meds this morning... I take it a lot... maybe that's the cause of my behavior! 8O
The luckiest thing that might happen is my friend coming for a sleepover. The other is that I'm watching A VERY POTTER MUSICAL!
Rose wrote: "What kind of books do you read????"Well, its not my book. Its my dads. Blame him.
And this is the real quote:
"To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kinda scary. I've wondered where this started, and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus and a clown killed my dad."
Deep Thoughts
Also, the luckiest thing that might happen to me today is... um... that my mom suddenly gets a bunch of energy so she can drive me to my friend's birthday party. Because otherwise I can't go. :(
Wow, Ambizzle (I LOVE YOUR NAME) pure luck for you. I have a friend who is seriously afraid of clowns...
Ambizzle wrote: "No i consider what i did lucky :)Aww i hope she worked up the energy"
...she didn't. >_<
Also, I do NOT like clowns. AT ALL. O_O
Clowns remind me of Edward Cullen that's why I don't like them

Any of you guys had any superbly lucky days of late?
On Tuesday, I left my USB in a computer classroom, forgetting about it and leaving. On Wednesday, I got it back in art. But, when I went to tell my sister that afternoon, it was gone! I called the bus company to check for it, but they never did. This morning, I got on the bus, and sat in the same seat I had yesterday afternoon. Guess what I found. MY USB! On the ledge just beneath the seats!
Then later that day, I finally understood how to complete this Multiple Table Query in IPT, and my friend told me that I was one of his seven real friends.
I also got the artwork back that I had thought I'd lost last year! AND I got candy snakes from a friend and drew the cutest Appa stick-ish figure you've ever seen!
WIN!
