In the book, the Life of Pi, the main character has a love/respect for zoos and I do too. I find I'm always defending my stance on public zoos and I was wondering what are your personal views and do you experience the same thing?

I've just finished reading Self (I read Life of Pi a few years ago and loved it). I'd like to know how you think your writing has evolved through the course of your career. Are there certain things that you've noticed have really changed between the three novels?
