Even though I know that the movie has a 70% chance of ruining the book I still look forward to these books that have become movies. Are you looking forward to any movies evolving from books?

Not any movie adaptations, but I am looking forward to the release of the Nightmare on Elm Street remake!
They're making a remake of that! I don't remember exactly what it was about....I watched it so long ago.
I am looking forward to Clash of the Titans and Iron Man 2 which I hope they introduce either The Hulk or Captain America in. Other than that I have no idea what is coming out this summer and that's an odd thing for me, usually I'm in the loop :o/
I want to go see The Bounty Hunter-? something like that and I'm excited to see how Eclipse is going to come out
One I am looking forward to is The Runaways. Another is Kick-Ass, curious about the Last Air Bender also.
WOOT! I'm looking forward to the Last Air Bender! I love that anime and the guy who plays Jasper in the Twilight movies is playing Sokka in the Last Air Bender!
Yep I want to go see that one too and The Runaways like Yvonne....I saw the Iron Man 2 trailer and i think it completely sucked. Don't know what you thought.
The Last Air Bender does look pretty awesome. I thought the Iorn Man 2 thing looked pretty cool. I like that they are going to bring War Machine into the mix and I think Mickey Rourke looks pretty cool as Wip Lash. I just hope they don't introduce too many characters into it too fast. It could take away from a really well done story. I heard this one will be in both 2D and 3D so that could be cool. I am going to check a site I go to for movie news. It usually has a list going all the way through to the end of next year.
Hey check out FirstShowing.net for up coming movies cause there are a lot coming out that sound awesome and guess what...this Halloween Saw 7 will be out and in 3D :o) oh yeah...I bet there will be chunks coming at ya in this one
So what do you guys think about Stephenie's The Host being made into a movie? Are you excited or what? Do you think it will be good?
well the book was not that great and they're going to shorten it a lot so it's probably going to bomb. But it might not be a complete disaster
Another movie I am really WAY excited to see is Prince Of Persia. I love the videogames and I am so liking the previews for the movie. Also, next year we will have #4 of the Resident Evil movies...oh yeah I can never get enough zombie movies :o)
AHHHHHHH!!!!! I saw the preview for "Nightmare on Elm Street" and I couldn't sleep! It looks so good! It has the guy who plays Emmett in the Twilight movies (Kellan Lutz I think). I think I might actually go see it.
Oh yeah an new Freddy movie should be pretty kick butt... I really need to invest in the full DVD collection of the other ones cause it actually has the 3D one in 3D
Schneeb wrote: "I really want to see Avatar and Karate Kid."Avatar was great and deserved to win more things than it did at the Oscar's! Great movie for everyone!
I'm not sure if I want to see a remake of Karate Kid though. The first movie was great to begin with!
Iscela wrote: "Is anyone gonna go see The Last Airbender? My mom's pretty excited about it so I might go."When's the Last Airbender coming out?
Definitely going to see that! I'm not ashamed to admit that I've watched EVERY episode of the anime.
Well I haven't watched every episode but I've watched some alongside my mom. She's obsessed with the avatar.
I used to watch it when I was little, now I watch House >.< Actually, I don't watch TV that often at all, just over breaks and stuff, when there's nothing to do....
I don't watch that much TV either, what I do watch is usually on like hulu.I watch Glee, House, Heroes, and 10 Things I Hate About You on a regular basis. But anything else I don't really have time for now
Did you see the speedating episode of house? It was great Wilson was in an adult video when he was in college.
I don't think I saw it. But HE WAS??? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (By 'adult video', you mean porn, right?)
Yep, that's what I mean, and i quote the video 'not a beast, not a man'....he was soooo funny and then House of course finds the video and blows it out of preportion! It's hilarious. And Chase is really funny in that episode too! I think it's officially my fav episode of house
I wanna see... The Clash of the Titans, How to Train a Dragon, Iron Man 2, Last Air Bender (it's gonna be weird not seeing Aang not being cartonny), and the Prince of Persia. But i'm mad at the prince of Persia people!!!! The Prince is a WHITE guy!!!! He's not even Persian!
How to Train a Dragon was surprisingly good! I didn't even plan to see it! lol on the Prince of Persia comment. At least he's very tan.I think I might actually see Karate Kid. I'm definately going to try to see the Last Airbender though
So I've heard. ;D Jake Gyllenhall said the hardest part of the character for The Prince was getting the -> British <- accent down. The Prince is -> Persian <-
Yeah I just watched that movie about an hour ago; it was good, but I think it could have been a lot better if they were better directed. The script was great (though there were some missing elements to it) and the acting was good (though I think they could have better cast the Unlce and Prince who became King when the King died). But the directing was just not well planned out in some parts.. others it was great, like the opening scene when Dustan was a boy and the scene where the vipers attacked the refugee they made in the middle of the desert!
Yea? Sounds good. :) BUt i wish they all turned to the zombie-things from the game. *wistful sigh*
I want to see The Hunger Games! Also on the topic of books that were badly adapted to screen, The Laura Ingalls Wilder books. When i saw the T.V. show it was almost totally different. Same with Ella Enchanted, the movie was so different.
With "Ella Enchanted" the movie was intensely different but I still love them movie and not just cause Anne Hathaway is in it...though that may be a big part
The movie was great of Ella Enchanted with Anna Hathaway. You should read the book its great and there is more things in it then the movie.
Angelique wrote: "Not any movie adaptations, but I am looking forward to the release of the Nightmare on Elm Street remake!"I saw part of the remake of the Nightmare on Elm Street it was okay but the first one is the best.
Lesli wrote: "The movie was great of Ella Enchanted with Anna Hathaway. You should read the book its great and there is more things in it then the movie."Ya I've read the book it used to be my favorite book when I was younger (until I lost it) I'm a big Gail Carson Levine fan!
Ya they do but I'm always pretty hopefully. I usually like the book and the movie in different ways though. I've come to accept the fact that directors use poetic license like Will Cunningham from To Kill a Mockingbird uses molasses
Jennifer wrote: "I cant wait to see red riding hood"I also want to see this. However, they made a book from the movie and I bought it. Turned out they left out the last chapter and won't release it till after the movie. That made me sad so I returned it. I will have to wait to buy it till after they give me the last chapter lol.
