Urban Fantasy discussion

These Book Reading Challenges are completely voluntary. Participation is NOT required if you aren't interested!

- Challenge # 1 will run from April 1, 2010 to June 30, 2010.

- YOU CHOOSE YOUR OWN BOOKS TO READ. Only trick is that you have to already own the book, be able to get it at the library, or borrow it during those three months. If you don't have any books on your TBR shelf at home or don't have access to a library and still want to participate, then I guess, pick up four new books if you wish.

Here are the categories for the book selection process:

* 2 Urban Fantasy Titles: books with a vampire, werewolf, witch, or fae character or set in a UF world with some other mythical character or skill set
* 1 Other Fantasy Genre (not UF)
* 1 Other book by an author you've never read before (expanding your horizons!) - preferably fantasy based


Posting your selected titles here might be nice in order to give other members some ideas and keep you organized. If you want to change your choices at any time, that is fine.

Please post in this topic ("yes, I am going to participate" or something like that) if you are going to do this challenge so I can compile a list of participants.

When you've completed a title, please come back and post a NEW comment with something like this:

How strict is it that we read these? I know I'll read the first three choices, but the fourth... with it being a new author, I'm not sure if his style will click with me. If I end up changing is that a problem?

Not strict at all. This is supposed to be fun and a good way to burn through some of the TBR books. I know my TBR shelf could use some trimming! :)

You can change your titles whenever you want.

Yeah, my TBR list isn't too long at 63 books [i don't think that's too long, considering how many books there are:], but I need to get it shortened. Once the sea of things to read gets too big, books get lost and are never seen again. >.<

Yay, my first challenge! ^_^ I have been needing some prodding to read the stuff I've already purchased (instead of constantly going "ooh! new-series-gotta-have!") Although, on the basis of having already pre-ordered the first two choices below, I'd like to count them as "already owned." ^__^
