Mod
, Nicole
, Emily
, Caroline, Veronica, Megan
, Danielle, Marilee, Josie
, Susannah, Kathleen, etc? I think there were about 30 or so books in the series. I read every single one of them and owned all except an earlier one which was no longer in print (but, I borrowed it for reading from the library)! The whole series is now no longer in print. Kind of a shame since they are historically set stories, they would never become old or outdated for a modern tween girl! Makes me wish I hadn't given the whole series to Goodwill when I packed up and moved away from home!

Welcome, Anna! I'm so glad you joined! You mentioned one I'd forgotten about, Roxanne! I wish you luck in trying to hunt them down! Back in the late 80's when I tried to get the no-longer-in-print version of Elizabeth, I didn't have the resources to track down a copy! Not like the Internet today, they do make it so easy!!! If you need any help with remembering any of the titles or numerical order, I have 24 of them listed in my young adult-romance bookshelf (but, there are over 30 of them, and I can't remember any more of them!)! Do you remember the name of the one and only book with an African-American girl? I think that may have also been the same book where her character rides a roller coaster for the first time at a World's Fair?
Oh, and is Susannah the Civil War era one you were looking for (from the women's name title discussion thread?)?
Yes, sounds very familiar, so I think that it is Darcy! Is that the Worlds Fair one, too, or am I remembering that plotline from a different one?
No, just found the one I was trying to remember, it's not Darcy, but, Corey (the African-American one!)! I was going to tell you that I found the rest of the titles (32 -is that all of them?) from a Listopia List, but then saw you're already listed on there because you beat me to it!! And the World's Fair one would have to be either Laura, Jacquelyn, Roxanne, Veronica, Nicole, Rachel or Nora since those are the only ones set in the 20th century!!
I never did read any of these. My best friend had them all but for some reason I just never got around to reading them.

Hi, I just joined this group. I used to love the SUNFIRE Romances; I think the one that you are looking for that took place during the Great Depression in Chicago during the World's Fair was Jacquelyn by Jeffie Ross Gordon. Thanks.
