Guys, I'm starting to notice that this place is getting a lot of mods that WERE NOT assigned by Khloe.

Guys, this group was made by Khloe!

I can't ignore this anymore because Khloe is at my neck asking me who's putting mods up.

Girls, KHLOE is the only person who can and SHOULD assign mods.

Rose, Grace, you guys are my best buds, but I don't know who put you guys up as mods. She's been asking me who's putting them up and she's pissed.

But please, we're doing this out of politeness and respect for Khloe's group.

Even I have to ask permission from her before I delete a member or anything major like that.

So I'm sorry to everyone but I'm going to delete the rest of you guys as mods.

I really don't want her coming at me saying how she's annoyed.

I hope you all understand.

Maybe Khloe can put you guys up as mods.

Mallie has left the group and if you look at the good-bye section you would be able to see her reason.

With Silverwolf, I can't seem to remove her as a moderator since she doesnt have a confirmed email.

I know you guys will get mad at me,

but please understand that this is not OUR group. We're just members. This is still Khloe's group and she is the only one who should assign mods.

No problem. :) No worries, I'm not the kind of person who's like "NO I HAVE TO BE A MOD IN EVERY SINGLE GROUP I'M IN!!" I mean, I am a mod in several groups, but that's because I'm super active. And sometimes I'm not, and that's totally fine too :)

As it is, I hope all things are good now and peace abounds, et cetera, et cetera *Laughs* As it is, I'm not going to relinquish my mod-status until directly requested, and even then only with good reason. Unless I'm found to be seriously suck-worthy in the job, lol- then I'll delete moi status quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Wow. Damn. I totally didn't even notice that until you just said it and I noticed my title was gone.

And no offense, guys, but I'm kind of leaning towards the fact that this is some bull shite. Not that I particularly care one way or another, since I have much greater things in my life to be concerned over, but to me, if who ever was this groups original creator was pissed about the new mods, then I'm wondering why it is they didn't get on here to state so in the first place. Not to mention that if it was such a colossal ordeal, then perhaps they should have been paying closer attention to "their" group, and moderating it a bit better.

Again, not trying to cause a fight with anyone, but to me, this screams immaturity and smacks just a bit of pettiness. *Shrugs* Just my opinion, possibly, but it's there none the less.

Amen, Silverwolf! The way I see it, getting ones panties in a wad over this crap is laughable. I don't think I've ever even talked to this Khloe chick, and with all due respect to her, but I think it's hilarious that she's pissed over this issue.

If "her group" was so important to her, why didn't she maintain her presence on said group, or at least give reason for bowing out, then coming back with guns blazing because things are different? Quite frankly, I'm with SilverWolf on this one. Instead of having you, Rain, to run to us screaming about the "mod situation" why couldn't she have the guts to post this thread herself and bemoan her anger about this there?

Look, I said all that not on behalf of Khloe. I didn't say all that because she said it. I only shared her message. I said that because that's what I see and to be honest I do agree with her.

Although she may not come to this site often, she entrusted others to moderate the site on her behalf. I go to university and some times I don't get enough time to even check my mail.

First of all, I really don't care if you said it on behalf of Khloe or not. The point is someone other than Khloe said it first. You're allowed to feel however your little heart desires, I'm simply pointing out the absurdity of the whole situation. All the above are direct quotes from you- so if you're offended over my assumption that you were fronting for this Khloe individual, you can see where that assumption came from based on the constant "it's-not-me-it's-her" context from your message.

As far as her entrusting others to moderate "her" site (which I must point out it's goodreads' site since they pay for the hosting of this URL to begin with), then there shouldn't be a problem. Others are moderating the site- she trusted them, they trusted others. Simple logic, really.

...I have to address something here. I actually do have a lot of opinions relating to matters I really couldn't give a crap about. It's my nature to be opinionated even if I'm not passionate about the subject. However, that isn't the case here, because in reality I could care less about being a moderator. As it is, I truly don't care about being deleted as such.

I do care, though, when I see some really laughable pettiness being splashed abroad. *Shrugs* But like I said, it's not that big a deal in the grand scheme of life, and petty people/petty actions will always abound endlessly so long as people live.

Actually, yeah Rose, maybe it's just because I'm a weird-o, but were I to create a group, then disappear, I wouldn't dream of coming back and bemoan changes that were made in my absence. I guess it's just my mentality behind responsibility. Were that to happen I wouldn't dream of causing a stir, because to me the fault lay squarely on my shoulders for not being there to begin with- for whatever reason. I guess in my mind it's the same as voting and the government- if you don't vote, voice your opinion and make an adequate effort to stay involved in what's happening around you, you don't have a right to bitch :).

As it is, you're absolutely right, Rose- to be truthful I don't really care enough to bothering with having some message board flame-war or argument. *Laughs* (And believe it or not, hon, that wasn't me arguing, lmao. That was me debating :). Being half-German and half-Irish my family raised me in how to argue and that SO wasn't an argument. If Khloe came busting in with that temper, I don't know wanna think about what would happen. Mods were assigned without her even knowing and without anyone telling her or the other mods that new mods were going to be or have been assigned. So not the case. Rose actually sent me a very nice message asking me if I wanted to be a mod. I thanked her and prefaced my acceptance on asking her if it was okay that I can be very opinionated and not at all politically correct. After noting this I asked her if she was sure she wanted me to be a mod since those are not "popular" qualities to have, especially as a mod. She was sure she wanted me as a mod, so I accepted. So to answer your question, no...I don't think you could do the same. As it is, though, I appreciate your apology on the pointed stipulation you noted.

As far as myself personally, I would've been more than happy to message you or this Khloe chick...had I known this brouhaha were brewing in the mists to begin with. As it is, I couldn't extend that kindness because I didn't know the kindness was necessary to begin with.

(As a side note, hon...unless Khloe happens to be a US representative or congresswoman, then no, not really. And if she were, then her position in the analogy I used would be null and void anyway, since I'm speaking of citizens, not leaders.)

At least with the Harry Potter craze, I actually enjoyed the movies and considered Rowling to be a very talented author, despite not having been able to get into her books. While I've not read the books, I have major respect for Rowling, because that woman actually knows how to write, and write creatively well! I mean, seriously, the woman got invited to speak at a Harvard commencement ceremony. Really. You can't top that level of recognition.

I guess what KILLS me more than anything is that twi-idiots constantly scream how "Meyer is a New York times best selling author!"...

And yet, out of four books, only ONE made the list. I have to keep from laughing, because the author I'm obsessed with has made the list with every single book she's released since 2005- and multiple books taking the #1 slot!

I love it when Twi-hards do that, because then I can head over to the computer and look at the current list. For my favorite series, the ENTIRE SERIES is in the top 15 as of a couple weeks ago. Out of the top 10, Twilight only squeezed one in at #9, while two of my faaavorite books EVER were... I think it was 4 and 7? They were both higher than Twicrap. >:D

AWESOME! You have to love it when that happens! Good writers can come back with kick-butt books every time, where as Meyers is really floundering in the literary community. I find that so funny- in the general population, Twilight is held up in high esteem for being popular and a money making pot. Yet in the literary community and the book lists, she's nothing but a really sad, bad, and mad joke! lol

Yeah! If you look at the best books here on GR, you see Twilight in at least the top twenty, but if you look at the worst books, they are up there in the top ten!

But most of the books in the Worst Books list are acctually good, like Lord of the Flies was amazing.

LOL Don't feel bad, Nightshade! The ONLY reason I read it was for my senior Advanced Placement English four class. And the irony is that there were nine of us in that class, and I was the only one who read it, LOL. (But I was a nerd like that and read every assignment)
