Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a RakeI thought that title was really cute, and the book sounds really good! :)
Heather wrote: "Stop Dressing Your Six-Year-Old Like a Skank: And Other Words of Delicate Southern Wisdom"That one is great!!
I know. I almost bought it today just for the title. Luckily I remembered that I could care less about reading the actual book and moved on.

Those are just some of my favorite covers. :) I actually have a lot more but I don't want to post 42383 covers here, lol.
That's my favorite out of all of them! Well actually that and Clockwork Angel (that last cover). I think they both are amazing :)
Hehe. I saw some kid today and I wanted to recommend some "delicate southern wisdon" to the mother. I wish I hadn't been at my second job. I would have said something to her.
I use to be afraid to confront strangers. What happened?

I really like [author:Katie MacAlister books. Did you read Zen and the Art of Vampires yet? Did you like it?
Not yet. They're fun, but I can't read them all in a row. They got redundant for me. So, I'm trying to space them out a little more. I'm on the last of the red hot vampires.
I haven't read all of them either and I think I read some of them out of order not realizing they were part of a series I will probably have to re-read them from the beginning at some...I don't ever read anything in a row so things don't generally end up feeling like things are redundant
I generally like books better if I read them in a row. That way I'm submerged into their world. But some worlds get exhausting after 2 or 3 books and need a break.
When I find a book/series that I love I like to read them all at once. But I do find that when I do that I have a hard time distinguishing one book from the others. They seems to just blend into one big book by doing this. Do you guys encounter the same problem?
Depends on the books. The smaller details definitely blend. But plots I'm generally okay on unless the series has more than 6 books. Then I remember a few key plots and the rest just feels like filler information.
I do! When I was reading the Night World series
they all blended into one. I LOVE that entire series to death. :)When I say "blended together" I don't mean I miss any details or anything, I just mean I don't remember the name of every individual story. I just call them all the "Night World books." All the books are just like one continuously long story in my head.
It doesn't seem to matter if I read the books in a row or not I am always forgetting what happened when or sometimes what happened at all. Of course the main example I have of this is The Anita Blake books which not has 18 books so that might be part of it. Or Harry Potter but of course it's been more then 10 years since the first one came out which I read soon after it was released

Has anyone seen the little video they have for this movie on the author's site? I just about died laughing. It's horrible!
Although, I have to admit I'm obsessed with studying Lincoln so I'm sure I'll read it.

I did see the video and agree that it is bad, but in a good way. I was on the fence to read it, but then decided to, but will listen to it on audio as the wait list is so much shorter for it. I read Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies and thought that book was bad, so that is why I wasn't sure about this one.
Oh.My.God. I am in love with this cover-
. I just received this book in the mail, and I am already in love with it. It's so gorgeous.

I'm so excited to start it! I hope the book lives up to the cover :).I'm going to check out the next books cover when I'm done reading the first. I don't want to even glance at the sequel in case I accidently skim over some spoilers from the first book.
It is beautiful, isn't it?! I am reading it now and so far it's good. Does anybody know if the cover that's up for City of Fallen Angels is real? I usually follow Cassie's tweets and blog, but I might have missed something since I don't have as much time lately to check these things, but I haven't seen anything posted about it.
I thought i had seen the cover for Crescendo, but it says coming soon on the front. That was just mean.
The real cover for Crescendo, the sequel to Hush, Hush was finally released!!!!
I'm in love with it! LOL
K, so I saw this as a nomination for the worst cover of 2009 and almost fell out of my chair laughing.
Enlarge it to get the full effect.

My first words when I did enlarge it was OMG, Did they really have to place the machine/car/train (whatever it is) at that exact place????
He's got a vehicle coming out of where his naughty bits should be! How is one suppose to "take him" as the series title suggests?

Pups? Seriously?"
I have to agree that the cover is really bad. But when I looked at it closer I see one of my friends has read it and rated it 5 stars. I find our tastes to be similar and now I really want to check that one out. lol Sadly my library doesn't have it.
It does have a high rating. But only 19 members have read it so I think the cover is scaring people away.
Titles:
The first one (My Horizontal Life) had me wanting to read more, then the second was just a given because I loved the first one.
Covers:
Ok I havn't read this one but what the heck are those things on her nail?
They released the new cover for book number 2 in the Body Finder series. I love these covers for some reason.
I know what you mean Heather. The better thing is that the cover lives up to the story unlike some books.
I know, they look amazing and are just as great to read! At least the first one, I wish I had #2.I really like the covers for the gardella vampires. Especially this one:
. I know they have half naked people on the covers, but IMO they are very tastefully done.

"Oooh, I really like those. I'm such a "judge a book by it's cover" kinda person. I definitely want to buy these!
The Body Finder just became available at my library. Thank goodness for wait lists, it's like a little surprise when one becomes available!
The bonus with these ones, or at least the first one was that the cover matched the book, unlike some. lol
I love that they give hints to the book, but I am never smart enough to figure it out until after I have read them.
I like that, but at the same time tattoo's are kind of permanent. You don't just change them. I'm conflicted. =)

I just came across a book called Zen and the Art of Vampires. I loved the flashback to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values and it made me laugh. The book probably sucks, but I'll give it a chance because of the title.
