*Waves* I'm trying to write a book. I'll post a bit, please tell me if it's good, or if it's crash and burn.
Amber ran through the streets towards her home. School, was over, it was summer break and tomorrow was her sixteenth birthday. Not that there was going to be a big sweet sixteen party. No one liked her, no one but her only friend, Jade, a new girl with pitch black hair and green eyes. Amber sighed. It wasn’t fair how no one understood her! She looked normal, with her long, brown hair and brown eyes. What was wrong with her? Amber felt like something was wrong as she rounded the corner to her little house. There was smoke pouring out of her house, into the sky. She ran forward, stopping in front of her house, horror-struck. The green lawn was sparkling with pieces of shattered glass. The flowers that her mother had kept so carefully maintained were tore and thrown aside. Fire was leaping out of the broken windows and consuming the house. Amber cried out as she heard her mother and father scream inside the house. Suddenly, a hand grabbed the back of Amber’s shirt and dragged her away. Her eyes were watering from the smoke. A few minutes later, she realized that the hand belonged to Jade. Her friend had dragged her…somewhere. It wasn’t anywhere Amber recognized. There were tall trees, a lot of bramble bushes, and some soft grass. Jade let Amber go and she disappeared into thin air. Am I dreaming? Amber though hazily. After that, everything went black. Amber woke up in a bed, and for a moment, she thought the fire was just a bad dream. Then she turned her head and let out a yell.
