i haven't seen New Moon but judging from the first movie, stupid, sparkly, gay.

I liked the books but I thought the movies were just a waste of time and money.

I didn't like Twilight -- probably because I didn't like any of the characters except for Charlie. (Jacob was okay, but WHY BELLA?!)

I don't understand why people are just hating on Twilight? It's like something/someone gets popular real fast, then they have to hate on it because of that. It irks me. I happened to love Twilight, but not obsessively. It actually wasn't as bad as people are painting it to be!! Goodness.

the first book was good, the second one was just painfully boring, third must of been boring cause i dont remember much and the last one was just uncalled for. i felt the movies were just a waste.

It's lame. I read them all and the first one was ok, but the others bored me to tears. None of the characters developed. There were numerous plot holes and the vampires sparkling in sunlight is about the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Yes, no Twilight. It's just awful, so many plot holes, no character devolopment, and some of it is just disgusting.

If you don't know what I'm talking about for that last part, look up the entire story line for Breaking Dawn.

You have hit on the main reason for Twilight's popularity. Bella is relatively plain. She's not the sharpest pair of skates on the hockey team. She's quite possibly the world's biggest wimp. She has, in fact, little or no character attributes. And yet, every guy in Forks--including but not exclusive to supersexy immortal well-spoken superhuman vampire chappie, and supersexy relatable masculine wolf-shapeshifter dude--fall for her. So teenage girls worldwide read this great work of English literature and they think--probably subconsciously--"Hey, if a loser like that is so very desirable, then MAYBE I AM/I CAN BE TOO!!"
I can't take credit for this theory; a writer friend pointed it out to me.

Also--obvs Eddie is using her. Can't exactly be dating her for her sparkling personality and her spunk, now, can he?
