Moondapple decided to go for a walk.

Falconstar was out in the forest, looking at the birds

Moondapple appeared next to Falconstar. "How's it going?"

"Fine. The forest is peaceful, and there's a deer herd not far from here. Want to come?"

"Sure! I'm hungry, and I can gather some herbs later." Moondapple smiled.

Falconstar smiled and loped off, heading for the herd. "Okay, can you drive the herd to me?"

Moondapple nodded, narrowing her eyes in concentration. "I'll find a weak one and drive it your way." She detected a deer with a slight limp and trotted toward it. The deer did not notice her. Moondapple trotted closer. When she was a wolf-length away from the deer, she let out a howl and drove it to Falconstar. The deer, startled, tried to run but stumbled.

Falconwing leapt and slashed at the deer's throat, killing it

The deer fell with a loud thud and Moondapple trotted over. "Let's get this back to camp-they'll be happy to have such a nice meal!"

Falconstar grinned and started to lug the deer back

Moondapple helped to carry the deer. They reached camp.

Falconstar smiled. The other wolves were up

"Ugh, my paws are going to drop off. I think I'll take a nap, then go gathering herbs later." Moondapple gave the deer a nudge. "Or maybe I'll have a little snack first."

Falconstar snickered. "be my guest."

Moondapple laughed and headed for her den, dragging a bit of the deer with her.

Fireblaze walked out of his den

Yawning, Moondapple ate the deer and curled up in her nest to sleep.

Fireblaze looked around

Moondapple started to snore softly.

Stoneclaw looked at Falconstar for a moment, then turned away to groom his silver fur.

Moondapple dreamed of hunting.

Fireblaze walked to stoneclaw "hello"

Moondapple woke up.

Fireblaze looked at stoneclaw

Moondapple stretched.

Moondapple yawned and padded out of her den.

Moondapple headed for Crimsonfur.

"How's it going?"

Stoneclaw shook his head quickly, snapping himself out of a trance. He looked at Fireblaze and dipped his head. "Greetings," he said.

Moondapple tipped her head.

"I'm good. You want to go hunting?" Moondapple offered.

Gorgefall felt a light raindrop hit her nose. She didn't really care about rain though.
"Can I go?" she asked.

"Of couse," Moondapple replied to Gorgefall. She nodded to Crimsonfur and headed out of camp.

Stoneclaw turned his head towards Moondapple. "Hey," he said stealthily to Fireblaze. "Let's follow 'em." He turned and stalked away, his head bowed, his eyes mischievous.

Moondapple breathed in the cool, fresh air. "Where do you want to go?"

"I say, Misty Grove, there is good rabbits there." Gorgefall said.

Moondapple shrugged. "Okay."

Stoneclaw held his crouching pose and followed silently. He didn't know why he had always loved to follow people; it had become a habit of his to try and get into trouble.

Moondapple said without turning, "Stoneclaw, come out. I know you're there."

Moondapple could smell him and knew from experience that he would usually spy on wolves.

Greyeyes walked to camp

Moondapple sighed.

Greyeyes yawned

Stoneclaw was silent for a long moment, then pounced playfully on Moondapple. "Haha, you know me too well," he said cheerfully.

Moondapple laughed. "Of course!" She rolled over onto her back, gazing up at his face.

Stoneclaw jumped off. "So what's everyone up to?" he asked.

"Sweet," he said, lunging at a vole.

Greyeyes stood up

Moondapple tilted her head. "I prefer deer."
