I think the thing I love the most about this chapter was how Pierce ended the book with the words "The Beginning".
Yes, Jon does talk to Alanna about who should be his squire.
I like how Alanna basically said "I should be your squire; i can do everyything the othters can do, even if I'm a girl."

I think it's a good thing that Jon knew- Alanna did not like keeping secrets. And the Beginning was great! And yeah, she wasn't bragging or anything, she was finally admitting her stregnths, and realizing that she really was good, a fact she had been hiding from herself for a long time.
the part when Alanna and Jon were fighting the Bazhir was really cool, and i think that the talk at the end between Jon and Alanna was a really nice way to end the book. im saying really a really large amount of times. LOL!
I think my favorite line is "Girl, boy, or dancing bear, you're the finest page--the finest squire to be--at court."
