Thelittlemermaid | 6 comments Anything by Neil Gaiman. "Neverwhere" is a great fantasy book set in London. And 'Good Omens', by him and Terry Pratchett, is a hilarious book about the end of the world.

(sry if this is kinda long)

Janeen-san (misswannareadalot) | 1507 comments Well, I don't hate it. It's a pretty decent adaptation. Not the best version they could've done, but still pretty good.

Kaleigh - Captain Bubbles ESTP(intj) (captainbubbles) | 1566 comments It's HORRIBLE! Read my LIPS: H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah i love anything fantasy pretty much...the hunger games, lord of the rings, harry potter, the alchymest (and the rest of the series), and a lot more that i havent read in a while.

Janeen-san (misswannareadalot) | 1507 comments HARRY POTTER IS AWESOME!!!

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

It's okay. Do you like the movies?

message 26: by Janeen-san (new)

Janeen-san (misswannareadalot) | 1507 comments Yes!!! They are all awesome!! :D
...Except the sixth movie could've used some work; in my opinion they should not have turned it into a romantic comedy. It didn't fit the rest of the Harry Potter series; they made the romance the main focus instead of discovering the villain's past, whereas in the book it was the other way around: the villain's past was the main plot, and the romance was comic relief/character development/subplot.
But other than that, all the movies are awesome!

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

i love all the books and movies! I'm slightly obsessed with Harry Potter. And Lord of the Rings. not sure which one i like better...

Sci-Fi, Doctor Who, Warehouse 13 (just one so far it's a good one).

Fave authors include: Douglas Adams, Fred Saberhagen, Mercedes Lackey.

I generally will check out the synopsis for a book to see if the story sounds like something I'd like.

Lynne Stringer I don't tend to read the Doctor Who novels. I prefer the show. I used to read the ones for the old series when I was a kid.

I still like sci-fi, though, and fantasy. I recently read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and really enjoyed it. I am also a fan of Twilight, The Hunger Games and was a fan of the Divergent trilogy until I read Allegiant. I also read the Selection trilogy recently and enjoyed that.

Vernice (fictionfantastic) I love Harry Potter, Stephen King, Hunger Games, Richelle Mead, Diana Gabaldon, Jodi Picoult, etc.

I've also read some Doctor Who books and fanfics, and am currently listening to The Stone Rose on audio book read by David Tennant... If you're a fan, you can't not love this!!!

I've also listenend to some of the 8th Doctor's audio adventures. I really wish they would have had a season with him!

Loved reading The Stone Rose. It would have made an excellent televised episode, then again most of the DW books I've read would make great TV episodes.
