Danielle "The Book Huntress" wrote: "Hi Vale! Lily is awesome."I loved it too- Alex really chanced a lot for Lily which was wonderful and she was just such a character. They do get a few scenes in DOY by the way. I didn't like Dreaming of You quite so much unfortunately. The characters are both great but the plot didn't quite have it for me. Can't seem to forget the scene on one of the gambling tables though!!
Bekah wrote: "Then Came You is one of my alltime favs!!! I love when she ties him up to her bed!"Yeah Lily gives as good as she gets! When he wins the bet and she has to go sleep with him I love that!
He is a yummy guy! I loved how he would walk in the hidden walls of his establishment watching Sara. :-)

I read "Dreaming of You" last weekend. I think Craven has edged out Sebastian as my favorite LK hero... I loved the book!I need to read Lily's book too.

I have come to the conclusion that Lily's book is probably my favourite of hers- hurry up and read it!

I have discovered Loretta Chase (Lord of Scoundrels) and I LOVE her stuff.

Me too. She has a new one out this summer (you need to read Lord Perfect first though). Lord of Scoundrels was one of two of hers that I didn't enjoy. The other one was Miss Wonderful. The rest of her Carsington series are good fun although her older books are denser.
Lady Vale wrote: "I still have to try that one. I heard nothing but great things about it."I can highly recommend "Lord of Scoundrels" and also "The Last Hellion".
Dreaming of You is on of my fave LK books, Derek Craven is a really good hero. I haven't read them for a while though I think I will give them a reread. I keep a few of Loretta Chase's books in the library, are they similar to LK?
In general, they are a bit more lighthearted, but the writing is as good, I think. I've read the entire Carsington Brothers series, and Lord of Scoundrels, and Your Scandelous Ways. She's very good at characterization I think.

Lord of Scoundrels is my favorite book. I also loved The Last Hellion. Mr. Impossible is really good, too.
Umm just checked the library only has Miss Wonderful, Mr Impossible, Lord Perfect, and Not Quite A Lady.
Suzanne wrote: "Umm just checked the library only has Miss Wonderful, Mr Impossible, Lord Perfect, and Not Quite A Lady."That's the reading order for the Carsington series. Pass over Miss W if you like. Mr I is hilarious.
what are the title of the books in this series?
Is Suddenly You part of this, Then Came You and Dreaming of You.
What Bekah said! I really like Suddenly You, it is one og my fave LK books, Jack Devlin is a delicious hero
oh yes, he is *very* delish!!! hmmmm.... and the fact that he is um.... you know...(I don't want to spoil it) makes it better. Glad he was so mature!
I am so looking forward to reading "Then Came You." I had no idea it was Lily's story! I saw a bit of Alex and Lily in "Dreaming of You" so I can't wait to read this one!
*spoilers*TOP FIVE REASON's I AM TEAM DEREK
1. He steals her glasses so he could have some part of her.
2. He cries for her.
3. He has snagged teeth giving him a rather charming crooked smile.
4. He loved Sarah enough to give her up.
5. He picks up his baby when she fusses.
BUT, Yaya, most of his wonderfulness didn't come out until the last 100 pages. The first 300 pages I mostly wanted to strangle his cranky clueless Alpha butt. lmao!

Ah Derek, my favourite LK hero. I totally agree with you Yaya, even when he was being a silly man through a lot of the book I loved him.Don't forget when he comforts Sara after her almost-rape/assault, that was very endearing as well.
I loved Derek's character but I found his accent a bit grating to read- I have similar problems with other books with accents (eg Adam Bede) and speech problems (Flowers from the Storm). It's a reading thing as had it been a film I would have been fine about it. Funnily enough I had a Londoner (born within the sound of Bow Bells) as a boyfriend for some years.
I don't like it when they start writing phonetically either it grates after a while, I would rather they just said it was an accent, but for Derek I endured lol, I didn't notice it that often, she only did it when he was excited I think.
Just finished "Then Came You" and loved it! I wish I had read it before "Dreaming of You." I actually thought DOU was a stand-alone or I never would have read it out of order. Anyway, it really helped me understand Derek's character. I would have been kinder to him in DOU because I would have understood what a crank he was going into that one, and he wouldn't have pissed me off so much. lolAnyway, I adored Alex!!! Wow, what a fab guy! Not Sir Ross Cannon, but close. I said that for Auntee in case she sees this post. *wink*

I just fell head over heals for Alex and Lily was such a spit fire. Yet needed Alex too.
I did read them in order and still Derek wasn't my fav hero. and the Heroine can't even remember her name just irked me!
