So I read this book a while back about a girl that was alive during the Civil War, she was in love with a boy and she had a moonstone necklace I think, that he gave to her I believe. One day soldiers come to their home and chase her in the hopes of raping her and she falls off of a cliff. Next thing ya know she is in present day with no memory of anything and had been taken in by an older couple and 'adopted'. She still had the necklace and would feel sometimes that she didn't belong and was constantly feeling that things were amazing, like the telephone and other such 'modern' inventions. Anyone?

I'm fairly certain it's Once upon forever by Becky Lee Weyrich.Rendezvous Review: Having to choose between identical twin brothers Hunter and Jordan Breckinridge, Larissa Flemingate Courtney takes Hunter to be her husband. After one day of marriage, Hunter leaves to fight in the Civil War with the U.S. Calvary and Jordan, in anger, joins the Confederacy. Shortly after, the outbuildings on Bluefield are set on fire by two rebel deserters. Larissa releases the horses, leaping on the back of one of them with the two men in pursuit. With the full moon guiding her, she arrives at the Cumberland Falls. Rather than be caught, she steps over the cliff and disappears over the moonbow. She wakes up in a strange bed in a strange room in the 20th century. A coal miner and his wife take her in as their daughter and give her the name of Clair de Lune Summerland.
