Dan was walking along a path, with Amy trailing behind him, and Nellie at their hotel with Saladin. Amy's nose was in a book, researching facts about their ancestors: Famous Madrigals.

"Wait, Dan! Look at what I found!"

((Seth?))

Dan groaned. "What do you want to bore me with now? Can't we take a break from all the history junk.?"

CRAP!! Wrong story. x]

"No," Amy yelled. "We can't. Because this is our life now."

"Geez, you don't have to yell. What?"

"Oh nothing much. The Cobras are stalking us, if you really want to know." Amy said angrily, pushing back some stray hair out of her face.

"WHAT??? Where?" Dan turned around frantically, looking like a dog chasing its tail. "WHERE?"

"In the van over there, parked. We gotta get out of here." She said,somewhat calmly.

((Amy, calm?))

"Yeah, we do. Ok, where do we go now? Where's Nellie? WHERE'S SALADIN?" He took a deep breath, reaching for his inhaler. "Oh, duh. They're still at the hotel. So where to now?"

"um... we leave, and send them an email a.s.a.p."

"Well..." Dan said. "Nellie's been kind of... Giving me some bad mojo, or something." He made a face. "Well, she does have Saladin... But, if he has another tracking device, I'm going to.. Well, you don't want to know"

Ring Ring! Nellie began to worry as Amy's phone continued to ring. She hung up with a sigh as voicemail came on. She picked up Saladin. "Where do you think those two went this time?"

Mrrp. The Mau stalked away, as if he were saying that instead of just sitting there, nellie should go find them.

"Well, you're right, but... But... If nobody is here, who will wait for them?"

"Okay. lets just go to them, get everything and escape. Is that a better plan?" Amy snapped.

"Okay. Let's get out of here."

"Finally. Where should we go?"

I don't know Amy! I thought you were the smart one." Dan said.

I am! But I cant decide everything! You do something for a change!" AMy snapped.

"Amy. Calm down. We'll figure something out. We always do." Said Dan calmy.

Amy took a deep breathe. "Let's just go back to the hotel. We need Nellie." She didn't voice her suspicions about Nellie.

"Ok. Just take a chill pill k?" Dan turned the other way, towards the hotel. "But we're gonna have to sneak out some other way..." He whispered to Amy so the Kabras wouldnt hear.

"The back way, maybe?" She slightly tipped her head to the back door.

"Sure." Dan opened up the door and entered.

The surprise waiting there was something Amy hadn't expected to see. Ian.

Oh, no... Amy thought. He's not supposed to be here.

"Ian." Dan spat. "What are you doing here?"

"You know exactly what I'm doing here. Amy I want to apoligize..."

"Y-y-y-you do, do you?" Anger bolted thrugh her. "For what? Backstabbing me, how many times again? Sorry, I lost track. But I bet you hired someone just to do that, right?"

"Listen Amy..." Ian was shocked.

"Im listening..." Amy said in a sing-song voice.

"It's hard you know. I'm under pressure to find the 39 clues. I mean with my parents... I have no time for love. Maybe if you do turn out to be a Lucian... but for now..." Ian finished sadly.

Amy laughed. It was a hard, cold laugh that didnt suit her. "You dont know who we are, dont you? We`re MADRIGALS! What are you going to do know? Call a body guard to catch us, instead of doing it yourself? Money can get lots of stuff, cant it? Im sorry, but Im not one of them." Amy laughed again and kicked him hard in the shin, then kneed him right between the legs.

She turned towards Dan and said "Lets go Dan."

"Go Amy! Who knew you had the guts?" Said Dan as he ran after Amy.

"My reflexes?" Amy asked as ran up the stairs towards there room. She opened up the door.

"Nelie! We gotta get out of here! THe Kabras are stalking us! lets go! I knoched out Ian, but theres still the other brats!" Amy desperatly cried.

Nellie's head snapped up as the two kids entered the hotel room. "OH MY GOSH! Where have you two been? I've been so worried! What happened? Why does Amy look so freaked out? SOMEONE ANSWER ME!"

"The Kabras! They're following us! We've got to get out of here!" Amy screamed.

"Calm down. Do they know we're here?" Nellie stroked Saladin.

"Yes!" Amy snapped.

"Okay, okay. Don't worry Amy. Everythings going to be fine..." Nellie couldn't finish.
