Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14535 comments I love the spring and the flowers that it brings. What's everyone's favorite flower?

I love all kinds of flowers and it's hard to pick but I'm going with jonquils and then brown-eyed susans

message 2: by Eastofoz (new)

Eastofoz Mixed coloured roses roses in a bouquet especially pink, orange and yellow for me. I also like violets, birds of paradise, gardenias and bright coloured gerberas. I pretty much like all flowers except carnations and mums.

message 3: by Miss Kim (new)

Miss Kim (thatsmisskimtoyou) I love when my peonies bloom in June here. They are so big and pretty and you can smell them in the house if the wind is right.

message 4: by Anne OK (new)

Anne OK (anne-ok) | 114 comments I especially like iris and tulips but if the arrangement is bright, cheerful and colorful, I'm good to go!

message 5: by Auntee (new)

Auntee | 100 comments I love tulips but the season for them doesn't last long.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments Thanks! I didn't know April was daisy. I know it's diamond, because I seldom get one as a gift! LOL

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments Would it be ok if I post some pictures from our rose collection?

message 11: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14535 comments Sure! Are u an April baby too? My BD is April 15th (Tax Day). I always thought April's flower was the Daffodil.

message 12: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments I'm the 23rd, Shakespeare's death day, or birth day, depending on who you ask. LOL

message 13: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14535 comments lol.. Leonardo Da Vinci shares my BD :) Maybe that's the reason I always wanted to be an Artist. Sadly, I didn't get his talent.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments I'm trying to remember the names. This one is Royal Amethyst, I believe.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments And this one is a white Iris. The petals are so delicate you can see through them.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14535 comments Wow! Absolutely beautiful. I love them all but I really love the color in the Royal Amethyst.

message 22: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments The Royal Amethyst smells so, so good. It's outside our front window in the flower bed.

message 23: by Julianna (new)

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 671 comments Ooooo, thanks for sharing, Dhestiny. I love flowers, but can't grow them to save my life. I have a black thumb.;-) I think my favorite you posted is the angel face. It's such a pretty shade and so delicate looking.

message 24: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments Thanks, Julie! I drove my daughter nuts last year making her take those pictures. LOL Angel Face is so, so beautiful. The petals get all ruffled and the scent... to die for!

message 25: by Melanie♥ (new)

Melanie♥ (meliaann) | 414 comments My favorite is the gardenia and I love magnolia flowers as well.

message 26: by Eastofoz (new)

Eastofoz Dhestiny those pictures are gorgeous :) The Rockin' Robin is very pretty. Do all of these grow in your garden/greenhouse?

Thank you!! Yes they do all grow here. In fact, we have 96 rose bushes planted in our yard, 89 of them are different. Those pictures were taken by my daughter. I have tons more, but I thought I'd pace myself and not post them all :)

My husband bought we a bouquet of Angel Face once. I got so many compliments on them. I was thinking about putting some in our yard but I guess they're hard to grow in my area.

message 29: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments That's a shame, Carolyn! It's the perfect plant. Not too big, pretty disease resistant... and fragrant!!!

You must have a stunning garden D :)

message 31: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments It's amazing how well they do with so little care. We live in the high desert and get 120 degrees in the summer and snow in the winter, yet they come back year after year.

This one is my favorite. I'll have to remember the name.

message 33: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Naughty Co-Mod (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments It's another one that has a gorgeous scent. All of the roses pictured are planted in the flower bed leading to the front door, so as people walk by, or if we have the front window open, we can really enjoy the fragrance.
