I'll be bringing "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. My copy of this book is soo loved but you know what? I can never ever get tired of this story. LOVE it.
I'm currently on the fifth Canto of Dante Alighieri's "Purgatorio" and am very much enjoying it. I read The Inferno this past fall and now that school is out I have time to read the other two in the comedy. I definitely recommend continuing the tale to others who have read The Inferno. And if you haven't read The Inferno go read it!
Just finished No Country for Old Men. I just can't get enough Cormac McCarthy. Also about to read Water for Elephants. I'm not a big historical fiction person, but I do love the contrast of glamour/grit of things like the circus. I've also been thinking lately about the lost arts, and I think circus performers fall into that category.
I'm fluttering all over my to-read shelf this month:Another Life Altogether: A Novel by Elaine Beale
Delicate Edible Birds: And Other Stories by Lauren Groff
Bitter Chocolate by Lesley Lokko
Mattaponi Queen: Stories by Belle Boggs
And the Heart Says Whatever by Emily Gould

2666So far it's pretty good. Although I generally find long books a bit intimidating I'm determined to keep on with this one.
I just finished "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larrson which was mind-blowingly great, I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Now I'm starting " A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" by James Joyce
I also just finished reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and I loved it so much I had to go out and get "The Girl who Played with Fire" right away. Great choice!
