First Fri, Back to School Dance!
Everyone this is a formal event!


@ 8:00pm in the auditorium, dont be late!

As Lexi and her best freind Nicole were walking down the hall, for their first day of high school at Harrison School of the Arts, Lexi noticed the banner for the school dance. " We going to the dance?" Lexi asked Nicole.

Nicole looked up at the banner. She sighed. "Only if we can find dates." She answered. "It's freshmen year! We dont even know anybody!" Just as she was saying that, she and Lexi bumped right into the cutest guy she had ever seen! "Sorry!" She said. He looked surprised. "No problem" He called after them, rushing to his classes.

" You liked him didn't you Nicole!?!" asked Lexi knowingly. Lexi was completely sure that Nicole was in love but she wanted Nicole to admit it herself. After a few minutes of silence Lexi couldn't take it anymore! She exploded! "Oh come on Nicole, just admit it!" yelled Lexi.

"So what if I did? He would never go out with me, he's a senior." She pointed to a plaque in a display case. It was a team picture of the Harrison senior football team. Right in the middle was "the dream guy." She sighed once more.

"Well you might still be able to go after him. You just have to figure out what type of guy he is. If he doesn't go out with you then it won't matter because he wouldn't be your type anyways! Guys who care about age and lokks and all the stuff on the outside aren't your type! Always remember that it's whats on the inside that matters not the outside. You don't even know this guys personality yet! You just gotta wait and see!" said Lexi. Then she sighed. "If only my dream guy would show up" said Lexi.

She listened to Lexi's long speech. Lexi, was right. Nicole didnt even know him yet and she was already saying she didnt have a chance in high school or "dream guy." "Hey, who's that?" She pointed to a freshmen guy with gorgeous blond hair. Lexi smiled as he passed her in the hall. Lexi's gotta crush! Nicole sang in her head. "Theres your dream guy Lex!"

" DEF!!!! Theres no way I'm gonna sit back and wait for another girl to go and grab him! He's soooo cute with his gorgeous blond hair, his perfect teeth, and his perfect clothes!' Lexi said excitedly. "But what if I told you I didn't like him and you could have him, what would you say?" Lexi asked.

"First of all, you'd be crazy to say you didnt like him! Second, I already picked out my guy. But if you did say you didnt like him...for real, I would take him in a heartbeat!" *laughs* "Just kidding!" Nicole said as she skipped over to the boy. "You see my friend over there?" She asked. "She likes you! Would you go to the Back To School Dance with her?" Nicole asked. "Sure" He answered. "But whats her name?" He asked. "Lexi. What's your's? Nicole asked him. "Brian" He answered. Nicole set everything up for their date on Friday. She walked back over to her best friend and told her the exciting news.

""OMG!!OMG!!OMG!! I can't believe he actually said yes!!!! My dream guy, I finally find him and he says that he'll take me to the dance!! NO WAY!!! Thank you so much Nicole!!!" SCREAMED Lexi. Lexi smiled and smiled all day long and then one moment she suddenly stopped smiling. It was because her best friend had helped her in such an incredible way and she hadn't helped her back. So she did. She went up to Nicole's dream guy and did the same exact thing that Nicole did for her! The same answers to! That was the best part! Lexi walked up to Nicole and said "Start smiling you can't be frowning when you go to your date on Friday with Austin!!!" Lexi told Nicole.

Nicole screamed! "Thank you so much! I dont know how you got me a date with a senior but I'm going to the dance with Austin!" She screamed again. This was why she and Lexi were best friends. They just got eachother. They could read eachothers minds. Nicole couldnt wait for her date with Austin. But as she was just about to thank Lexi, again, for setting the date up...the bell rang. She had homeroom and Lexi had science. They planned to meet up again at lunch. They had 2 classes together. They were both after lunch though. After school they also had dance and drama together.

Nicole walked into her homeroom. She looked around at the other students. She noticed Brian walking in the class room at the same time. The teachers name was written on the board, Mrs. Karen Faucet, but she hadn't arrived yet. She walked over to an empty seat. Brian, sat down in the empty chair right next to her! He asked her alot about Lexi. The two of them talked until Mrs. Faucet walked into the room.

Johnny walked into the school, surrounded by his "gang." Johnny looked up and saw the sign for the dance. "We going?" Johnny asked. They all nodded, making it official. "Cool. Come on, I got class," Johnny said. He walked into the room and he and his friends sat down. They twisted the desks into a circle, so they could all talk. They talked a while, then saw the teacher. "Hey, teach', whats up?" he asked.

Aurora was in the same class as Johnny. She was very smart, but yet popular. She was also very pretty. She was looking at the book "Romeo and Juliet" when the teacher walked in.

Johnny leaned back in his chair and listened as the teacher got on to him for his hat. Johnny just laughed and put his Ipod into his ears. He let music drone out everything else.

Aurora listened as she read her book and took notes. She was a great multitasker. She was just bored all the time.

After class, Johnny put away his Ipod and went to talk to his friend Aurora. "Whats up?" he asked.

"Nothing," she said while she texted her friend, Anya. She didn't know if she was going to the dance or not.

Johnny pulled out a pack of gum. "Want some?" he asked.

"No. Don't chew gum." She said easily," So are you going to the Dance? I don't know if I am."

"Ya, me and the boys are." Johnny said.

"Kool." She shut her locker and walked away her Blonde hair shimmering.

Johnny turned around and said hi to some of his football friends. They joked around, then left for second period.

Aurora was in second period when Johnny and his "idiots" as she called them walked in. They were so annoying.

Johnny liked second period, so he payed attention. He jotted down answers and kept his mouth shut. When he was done, he listened to some music.

Aurora was reading when the bell rang. She was one of the best students so she always finished quickly. She went to her locker to find the hockey team staring at her. "Keep your eyes to yourselves." She said and messed with her phone.

Then she went to her next class which was writing and wrote. She LOVED to write.

Tyamena walked to her class, listening to the music on her cell. Se stopped at her locker and looked into the mirror. She could see the 'Populars' talking and laughing very loudly. She spied on them for awhile, got bored, and went back on to class. For being popular, they didn't do much. She walked by a poster for the dance. She decided she would go. Just not with a date. She went to class and payed attention a little bit. She doodled, but listened intently..sometimes.

Johnny and his group of rockers layed against the wall, Ipods plugged in, Three Days Grace playing loud. They bobbed their heads, listening. Johnny watched as a teacher walked by. "Whats up?" he said. She gave him a stern look. When she turned around, Johnny mouthed "FU" to her. Johnny walked over and got some lunch.

Tyamena walked past Johnny and his roadies, rolling her eyes. They were such idiots. She took out her gum and stuck it hidden to her finger tips. She walked up to Johnny and tapped him on the back, letting the gum stick to his shirt. She said, "Oh hi! I wanted to know if your roadies actually can think for themselves. They seem to just be robots trained to follow you." she turned around and walked around to random tables, talking with her assorted friends.

Johnny took off the gum, then turned around. He watched the emo kid walk by. "Hey, Kyle, been cutting yourself lately?" Johnny laughed.

Tyamena walked up to Johnny to talk to him. "So, where are you and your roadies gonna find dates for the dance? I hear you could probably get a date, a few girls keep talking about you in my class. It is SO annoying by the way. But where are your roadies gonna find brainless girl followers to escort to the dance?" she said slowly. It was so hard to tell if he was listening to music or not.

"Whats up brainless blondie?" teased Tyamena when she saw Aurora walking by. They never got along. She was way too stuck up and big headed.

Johnny sighed. "Look, my boys are kinda messed up, but leave them alone. They have enough troubles," Johnny said. "Anyway, are you going to the dance?"

"Yep, I'm going." she said simply. "But not with a date." she added.

"Wow. Fiesty emo dude. But he threatened you, and thats just music to my ears." she said, teasing Johnny.

"Nothing." She said easily. She took Insults as compliments and she knew that alot of people thought she was an idiot because she was a blonde...

"Tyamena, whats your problem? We're nice to you and you treat us like crud. Just leave us alone," Johnny spit.

"I have had issues with Aurora since I met her. What I do or say is none of your business. You all have done plenty to deserve to be treated like crap, belive me." she said, narrowing her eyes.

Johnny shook his head. "You just don't get it. You live your perfect life when we live in constant fear of getting shot when we walk outside! Have you seen our neighborhood?"

"No, actually I haven't. But trust me, I have made plenty of people wish they shot me when they had the chance. Thats what you get when you stare down gangs: Enemies." she turned and walked away on her heel.

Just then Lexi walked up to Tyamenya and said "hey, I know you hate those guys, we all do, but you just have to leave them alone and they'll never mess with you. Trust me I went to school with them all my life!!".

"Ah, but messing with them is half the fun!" Tyamena exclaimed. She walked away to her usual lunch table.

Lexi walked over to her usual table and sat down waiting there for Nicole to get out of the long lunch line. Then she started to talk the rest of her friends.

After lunch Lexi went to her 6th period class and sat down looking right beside Nicole. They started to talk and then they couldn't stop!!
