SDG Reads discussion

Hi, welcome to our goodreads discussion for our first SDG Reads. We are very excited and looking forward to our October 1st event with author Elizabeth Hay in Avonmore, to discuss her book Alone in the Classroom.

To start, please tell us if you have picked up this book yet. I know I’m getting my copy in about a week and I’m looking forward to starting. Our Maxville Book Club is getting a book club kit.

There are also currently 42 copies in the SD&G county library (all out at the moment, so place your hold today), there is also an e-book and a CNIB audio book. There’s lots of ways to get a copy of our first community read!

Thanks for getting the ball rolling on our GoodReads page Amy! I'm looking for ideas/suggestions on what kind of passive programs we could offer our patrons before the main event in October. Any thoughts?

There are only 15 weeks until Elizabeth Hay is joining the SD&G County Library at the North Stormont Place in Avonmore. So far, we have checked out “Alone in the classroom” 118 times. This is great news!
