Hi my name is Jessica Crouse, and I joined partly because Melanie is my mom, and partly because I am getting low on choices of new, good books to read.
Hi! I'm Jennie Heap and I joined because I love Melanie!! I am excited about this challenge. It comes at a good time of year where I have a little extra time!
I'm Kara and I joined because I know that if I want to stay in touch with Mel, this is probably a good way. And I like to read. :)
Rebecca M Trujillo Batty here...joined because I love books and am always looking for suggestions, although I have a mile long list, at least! Having seen YA fantasy mentioned here, have you all read The Heir Series BY Cinda Williams Chima? The first one is The Warrior Heir. These are GREAT books!
I am Debbie and I joined because Melanie said "come take a look" :) This is something I have never done before so I thought, why not try something new?
I'm Suzanne, and I joined because Melanie asked me to. Who wouldn't? I'm a homeschool mom and writer/editor. As an editor I read a lot of, hmm, shall we say 'less than perfect' stories. So when I sit down with a book it had better be good!
My name is Mindy and I joined partly because I am Melanie's sister, but also because I find myself in a rut sometimes too. I don't know how much time I'll have to read because I am starting to go back to college again in June, but I'll do my best!
I'm Rich. I'm here at Melanie's invite, but I know Suzanne--we read some of the same slush--so I'm not alone. :D I'm a 175 time award-winning tattoo-and-fantasy artist, writer and slush reader. I'm the proud father of three children, two boys (one a special needs kids) and a daughter (tomboy). I read all sorts of genres: historical fiction, fantasy, sci-fi (less hard sci-fi than space opera or military sci-fi), mystery (not too often anymore), thriller, horror, western (less and less as i get older), espionage and mainstream. I have a library of close to 700 books, and am unfortunately a slow reader. It's funny how many books I have not yet read, but I'm working on it.
I'm Sara. I'm here because Melanie posted about this at Hatrack and I love reading. I'm a mom of two girls ages 5 and 2. I stay home with my girls, teach piano and flute, and write.
Hi, I'm Lisa and Melanie's neighbor. I'm home with my kids, son (7) and daughter (3). I'm a web designer and developer and fledgling artist. I enjoy reading mysteries, historical fiction, biographies, fiction, espionage and a good love story.
Hi everybody! This is like a dream come true for me! So many of my face-to-face or on-line friends all in one place talking about my very favorite topic--books! I'm so glad you're all here. It means a lot to me.
Hi I'm Lauralee. No one invited me, but crashing parties is so much fun. Melanie and I strip wallpaper together in our spare time. :)
Well Lauralee, I'm so glad you're here. Consider yourself invited. And don't forget that we also stay up until 2:30 in the morning together--oh wait. You're not even going to sleep at all tonight. I'll think of you in that split second before my head hits the pillow...
Hi, I'm Bridget. I joined this group because I participate in the Seasonal Reading Challenge and I don't read enough to EVER complete the whole challenge and wanted a challenge that I may be able to finish every now & then.
Hi Bridget! Welcome to our little group. We're just getting started, so we look forward to your suggestions.
