I'm forever starting series late... In 2010, I started the following series that I really enjoyed (or am really enjoying as I am still reading some of them...)
All good ones! Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series is one I started when the 1st book was released and can't stop now. They go up and down for me, but I always buy new ones when rls'd. Glad you're likin' them. I love Jenks! He's always making me laugh. No matter what though, they never fail to surprise me, even after all these yrs with the series.
For 2010 I've started several new series. These are the series I've started this year and have read all books released so far:
These are series I've started this year and have read at least the first book if not more in the series:
My faves of these are
LooLoo,Have you read Weather Wardens? Did/Do you need to read those before Undone? I think I have both around here to read, but since there are so many WW books I was kinda hopin' I could skip and jump into Undone.
I'm gonna read You Slay Me soon b/c I wanna read her other series and FlibBityFloob keeps reminding me that I have to start with Aisling Gray book 1. hehe
I've also got Rhyannon's first book here TBR and Ashley's Pride Mates. What'd you think of those? Recommend them?
I have Some Girls Bite TBR also.
I really liked Andersen's first 1-2 of Final Prophecy series, but the 3rd didn't get me as excited, so I haven't jumped into 4 yet.
I love Vincent's Shifters series and can't wait for the last book!
Yes I read Weather Wardens first. You'll be a bit lost if you don't read it before Undone. It took a few books for me to really get into weather wardens.I really liked Pride Mates and Rhyannon's books are just okay IMO. I absolutely loved Some Girls Bite and like you I can't wait for the last Shifter book.
Augh. Too many WW out there for me to invest in them right now. Guess Undone will have to wait. I'll move Pride Mates up on my TBR.
Thanks :)
So far this year I've started the following new series that are already in full swing (read = at least two books available):
I've enjoyed them all enough to carry on with the series.
So far this year I've started the following series (not including series with only one book out)
And have plans to start many, many more!
I'm completely in love with the Demonica series. A surprising favorite was Robert Jordan's WWW:Wake. I can't wait to read the next one.
I feel a little embarrassed, I've just realised why I feel like I've got too much to read. I've started 30+ new series this year!
I think that's it. There may be more! I need help.
Amy, I'm not far behind ya. I've read 31 new2me this year (all book 1 of a new2me series)! I'm sure there'll be more for us both, no doubt. :) Shanon, I'll have to check out WWW#1, sounds very interesting, thanks for the rec.

Steph wrote: "Shanon, I'll have to check out WWW#1, sounds very interesting, thanks for the rec."I found it completely unique and fun. There are lots of little historical tidbits throughout the novel that I loved! It's sci-fi but has the feel of a YA Urban Fantasy. I hope you like it. There's only 2 books out in the trilogy so it shouldn't be too hard to get caught up ;)
I personally couldn't get into "The Weather Wardens" series. I also found after trying to read the second book in "The Morganville Vampires" series, I couldn't get into it either. I'm wondering if it's just her writing I can't get interested in.
Steph wrote: "...DH, how was Jill Myles series? I think I have book1 around here somewhere TBR."I've only read the first one so far (although the second is sitting on my bookshelf). I enjoyed it in general, although I did think it relayed to heavily on the sexual side of the protagonist's succubus nature to drive the story - to the point where it took me out of the story. From reviews I've read though, most people weren't bothered by it. Huh, who knew I'd get turned off by too much smexiness? ;)
Oh Angi that's too bad that you don't want to stick with the Highlander series, it's ended up being one of my faves! The books def get better as they go along!!! What are your thoughts on it as to why you won't stick with it??
Hi Suz! :)For me, this book just didn't have enough story to it. I felt it was all too simple and not strong enough to support all the sex. I was bored :(

Yeah, sometimes all the "smexiness" just doesn't do a do a story (or a girl) good. LOL, DarkHeart!
Hey, Angi! :)
Sorry you didn't like "Blood Memories" or "Moon Chasers", I enjoyed both of those. :( Oh well. I haven't read any of the highlander series. Historical PNR is hard for me to get into typically, so I tend to avoid those. Although there are a few that I have around to try out. We'll see.
I've heard a lot of rave reviews for Some Girls Bite and since I've finally worked it into a challenge, I'll definitely be reading it soon.
Read some more new-to-me reads so far this year. Big surprise! :)MUST read next in series:
Will continue with the series:
Probably, but no rush:
It's no wonder I never can seem to finish a series, I'm always starting new ones! :)

I can't wait to read the next one.I recently saw the second WWW book at Border's and made a mental note to look up the first one and see if it was any good. Jordan's Calculating God was a very interesting look at Intelligent Design vs. Big Bang Theory with arguments presented by aliens that have landed on Earth.
A couple of my favorite finds of the last few months:
Okay, maybe more than a couple. Books are like potato chips, you can never stop with just 1.
LOL! LOVE that, Daffodil! Books are like potato chips, you can never stop with just 1. :D How was Stormwalker and Touched by an Alien? I have those TBR.
I loved Touched by an Alien
. Koch is a humorous writer and the main character has just enough snark to make you laugh, but not so much that you hate her. Her mother and father are great too. I found the universe Koch built interesting and the descriptions of the various monsters in the battle scene were wonderfully disgusting. And although I would have preferred a different pairing up between characters, the book was still well worth the time spent.Stormwalker
. If you've read and enjoyed her dragon series, then you'll be comfortable with her writing style. The main difference is this is definitely an Urban Fantasy and not a paranormal romance.I'd definitely buy the next book in both of these series.
Touched by an Alien sounds good. I haven't read anything by Allyson James, but I'd like to check that one out.
Has anyone read the Jaz Parks series by Jennifer Rardin? The first book is Once Bitten, Twice Shy
If yes, would you recommend?
I love these books. I just recently finished Bite Marks (#6). Although the books deal with vampires, terrorists and CIA assassins, these books definitely fall on the light side of urban-fantasy. Jaz has a sarcastic edge to her character and her response to the admittedly juvenile antics of some people on her team made me laugh.

I have stumbled on (or been recommended to) several good series that I will, or already have, read add'l books in the series.
Some of these have become favorites already.
What about you? Started any new series in 2010 that you've already fallen in love with?
