Thanks! Added it, it does look interesting. I think I read a Dodd book YEARS ago, and liked it. But I'm interested to try her out again if her heroes are as you say, possessive. I like that in my heroes.

If you're interested in something more contemporary, I just read
and enjoyed it. It's got some pretty hot sexuality, but the story itself is really good, and Bryce is a great hero.

I think you'll like it. It's not too tense or emotionally draining. LOL That was a must for me after a month of difficult reads.
Dhes, Hot in here is next for me after Married by Morning!
I think you'll love it. It's really super good!!! Easy read, not too much tension or drama or TSTL moments but plenty of heat!
TSTL = Too Stupid To Live.Don't feel bad, I had to ask too. I thought I was the only one who didn't know what it was which is why I used it without explanation. LOL
is expanding to Sci-Fi too far?the Deathstalker series by Simon R Green is bloody, romantic, humour & action rolled into one

I have not read his Nightside series. I've come across it a few times and questioned if I should read it, but with an average of 230 pages per book I am concerned about the quality of the story and characters. Have you read the Nightside series Lady Danielle? Did you like them?I have read all of the Secret Histories series that is out so far. It was OK, not as good as the Deathstalker series.

I've read the first three, and I really like them. More of horrific urban fantasy. Very imaginative.
Hot in Here Is not easy to find,my cousins have scoured LA and can`t seem to find it
Heidi will you do a short description and if you liked it when your thru reading?
Bekah,If you want a fun sexy contemporary romance, I suggest Victoria Dhal's Tumble Creek Series.
I also suggest Julie James. There is some suspense/mystery involved, but they are contemporary romance, not a lot of steam. The H/h get together at the end. I loved
and liked
. She also has
, but I haven't read it yet.
Alycia! Thanks so much for all the recs! I'll be checking them out. So, this is sort of off topic for this section but about books. I thought I'd give a general rating for some books I've read recently,The Prince series: The Raven Prince The Leopard Prince The Serpent Prince I give this series an A-/B+. I loved the first two a lot, and I did like the third...but was sort of not as engaged. Thats just this reader's opinion.
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED And Then He Kissed Her This book was different than any book I've been reading recently. It was so chaste (at least for a long time), they barely touched and didn't kiss until almost the end of the book, but it didn't bother me - it was as if I was waiting with bated breath with them. My first book by this author, but by no means my last. I will be reading another of hers very soon! It was also very very sugary sweet, but she has a gift...it wasn't vomit inducing in any way!
Next: In Bed With the Devil - Loved this book as well, and am very very very excited about reading the rest of the books in this series! The background story and characters are very well written!
So, it appears I may be out of my reading funk! Yay. The only problem now is that my TBR pile is going to be diminishing quite quickly and with no job....book buying may have to take a quick nose dive! Yikes!
Happy reading ladies!
PS: Currently reading Wicked Ties --- on page 140 and so far so good...better than I am with most erotica..this one actually seems to have good writing or good enough to make reading it quite easy.

It sounds like you have plenty of author suggestions but I thought I'd add my faves some of which have been mentioned already. Victoria Dahl (historical and contemporary), Rachel Gibson, Sophie Kinsella, and of course Lisa Kleypas in case you haven't read the Travis series yet. Historical is my fave and what I have the most of but its nice to take a trip to modern times once in awhile. I haven't read any of the books in Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic Series but I have read 3 of her stand alones and loved them.
Thanks Robin! I really appreciate the suggestions. I have read the Travis series, and I'm totally in love with Gage! :-) But I'm going to go check out the other authors. Thank you!

Great to know!!! I just got the final two in the mail yesterday! I'm really excited abou tthem. I really liked the first one! It was a great read, and I loved the fact that I was able to fall in love with all of the characters.
Bekah, I am so happy to hear you say that!!! I am not a romantic suspense fan either. Bad guys chasing the heroine bores me. If there's gonna be action I want it to happen between the sheets. But mostly I want the plot to be about the relationship and not running from bad guys. Too funny! So we think alike, gf, when it comes to that. ;)Who do I like in contemporary erotica/romance?
1.) Hannah Murray
2.) Emma Holly's erotica novels (stand-alones)
3.) N.J. Walters
4.) Charlebe Teglia
5.) Lacy Danes
6.) Lydia Parks
7.) Jaid Black
8.) Delilah Devlin (my fav Western ertica novelist!)
9.) Kathy Love
Hope this helps!

Here are mine
Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Janet Evanovich
Suzanne Brockmann - I used to eat her troubleshooter series up! Then I got to like Flashpoint, I think it was, and I couldn't get through it, so I haven't picked them back up again
Linda Howard used to be my all time fav too, but then she went more toward suspense romance, and I hate that. I think thats my prob with contemps. They cant just be romance, there has to be someone chasing them trying to kill them.
Suggestions ladies?? :-)
