I just finished the Seasons of Sugarcreek this month. I loved everyone of them. I wish it was not a trilogy would have loved more but she said in a letter at the end that that was the end of the series? I just loved the characters in this series and how it all pretty much took place in a year (all the seasons)
For those of you who are fans of Shelley Shepard Gray, here's a great article by her about Amish romances: http://edition.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/09...I really want to read one of her books now!
Rachel I love her writing. I get so into her characters. I got two more in the Sisters series. I was waiting on my library to read number 2 and they got it in the other day. All of hers are fast reads too!
I also saw that - it says that you have to write the review by the 26th of October as the galley ends then but I thought I'd check it out.
Just wanted to bump this thread up again since a few of us seem to be reading Grace: A Christmas Sisters of the Heart Novel this month! I'm partway through it right now and quite enjoying it, although I'm not quite as taken in with it compared to some of the other books I've read recently. Those that have read the other books in the series - how does it compare?
I loved Grace and all the books in that series. Grace is kind of different because its not so much about the characters in the series.
That's goo dto know Lorie since I want to read that next and I have not read any of the other books in the series (although I own them).
Diane, the other books in the series are really good too! I made myself read all of them before I read Grace. There will be a few spoilers in Grace about the other books, but Grace is more about the new characters and just a look at where the old characters are now.
Sorry it took me so long to post this.

I'm 3/4 of the way through Grace: A Christmas Sisters of the Heart Novel right now and I am enjoying it, but I'm not loving it like the rest of you. It's a nice, easy, Christmassy read but I don't think it's anything outstanding... Interesting to see how we all have different tastes!
Wow, I am 40% done (I started it on Thursday at lunch) and I want to curl up and finish it! This is the first book that I have read by her. I love her style of writing and the character development. I will be starting the series from the beginning because the some of the stories were quickly told but I bet it is a great read!
Okay, so I finished Grace: A Christmas Sisters of the Heart Novel today - just in time to write my review! I did enjoy it but I didn't love it. I think maybe the other excellent Amish Christmas novels I've read lately have overshadowed it! Still, a very sweet story and I now want to go and read her other books to learn more about the characters, particularly Katie. This gets 7/10 from me, and I've posted a review to my blog.
I loved it Rachel! I finished it yesterday and wrote my review last night. I just started Hidden last night before bed. I loved how they told you some of the character's history in Grace without ruining it. I too had to learn more about everyone as well!I love her style of writing. I read it much quicker than some other ones.
Ooh, yes, I admired how she gave us some details about the characters without ruining the previous books, very smooth. She's obviously trying to lure in new reads with her Christmas novel! Looking forward to hearing what you think of Hidden and how it compares to the Christmas novel.
Just finished Grace. What a wonderful story, it was great to see what has been happening in the lives of the Sisters of the Heart series.
Just read on Shelley Shepard Grey's webpage that in 2011, Christmas in Sugarcreek will be released -- #4 in the Seasons of Sugarcreek series!
Also in the Family of Honor series...
#2 -- The Protector (June, 2011)
#3 -- The Survivor (TBA)

Has anyone read The Protector: Families of Honor, Book Two? I finished it and was writing my review today. Every blurb about the book says that Ella auctions off her farm and the belongs after her father dies. Amazon and Goodreads have the same blurb. After reading it I thought that it was after her mom died that she autioned off the farm. The story says her father died and then Ella nursed her motherand then after her mother died she autioned it off. Hmmm. Guess I'll leave my review with her mom since that's how I saw the book.
I haven't, but it is next on my list. I will probably start it today. :)And sometimes the blurbs are just plain wrong. I will go and correct it. I have seen wrong names, wrong plot lines, and more. :(
I just saw that Shelley just sent "The Missing" off to her publisher. Is it #4 in the Families of Honor series?
