Angela (angbens) I am reading this series and I had a question...

Should I read the Dark Hunter series (just the dark hunter books) first and then move on to the Dream Hunter books. Or can they be read all in one group? On this site, they are listed like one long series, but I noticed on Sherrilyn Kenyon's site, they are broken up.

Which is easier to understand the stories and have a good continuation of time?

Thanks!

Chasidy | 216 comments I'd suggest reading them all together in the set reading order. There's some characters in the Dream-Hunter books that are.. important in the Dark-Hunter books especially Acheron's story. :) That's just my opinion though. I prefer reading books in order.

Angela (angbens) Okay thanks! I wasn't sure if I should read them broken up or all together. I prefer to read a series all together in order also.

Cassidy (fallenthunder) | 60 comments My opioun your safe bet is that you read them in order not in the groups. Because you will get horrible confused, and miss out of a couple major happenings in the series. But it is up to you haha

Elsie (aussiemom2) | 15 comments I agree. I was really confused hoping here and there. But then again, SK seemed a bit confused at times too, lol.

Quick question that i wasn't sure where to put.
In Kiss of the Night Katra says she wants to call her Father for advise that he would know what to do, but from what i know Ash is her dad and he doesn't know about her at the time. so who is she talking about or does she call him with out him know who she is? this just really confused me.

Tempi | 4 comments Ummmm ...I don't remember this ever happening, Jenny. If you can quote her exact words it would be much appreciated. If she said she's going to call her father then it's an obvious mistake 'cause they never met until Devil May Cry.

Jenny, what you have to remember is even though you know that Ash is Kat's father, readers of this series didn't know who Kat was referring to back when this book came out. This is book # 5 of the series and Kat is revealed as Ash's daughter much later in the series around book #10 or #12.

Kat couldn't call Ash for advice because he didn't even know she existed. She was just wishing that she could call her dad for advice on dealing with Artemis and Apollymi who seamed to be pitting her against each other. Don't you just love this series!! Hope this helps

Tempi, I had to look back at that book to refresh my brain too. It's most of page 151, Kat reflecting on the whole war between Apollymi and Artemis and how she felt betrayed by both goddesses. And thinking about how her dad seamed to stay out of their games and wishing that she could call him for advice but knowing that she couldn't.
