Sella Malin So, this is a story from the brainstorming. Here's the plot, please follow it:

This girl is really quiet and conserved. She doesn't open up to boys much, because she got hurt a really long time ago, and she doesn't want it to happen again. But there's this boy that starts being really nice to her. He keeps hanging out with her and sitting with her, even when she ignores him and doesn't accept him. But slowly by slowly, she starts to fall in love with him, and open up to him, and give her heart to him...and then he breaks it.

I'll start!

In the middle of the high school cafeteria, amidst all the healthy chatter and laughter, one girl sat alone. No one sat at her table. But she didn't care; that was how she liked it. This girl picked at her food quietly, her eyes never averting from her plate. She never spoke, either- not many had heard her voice.

Brigid ✩ And that suited her just fine. She didn't want to talk to anyone anyway. It had always been that way. She had always felt like her voice, her words, and her opinions should be saved for people who really deserved to listen to them... and unfortunately, there weren't many of those people in the world. She had discovered that most people just hear each other's voices; they don't actually listen.

message 3: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) But there was a part of her- a small part she struggled to hide- that felt differently. That part of her wanted friends, wanted to chat freely, wanted to love. But she didn't think she ever could. Not after what happened last time she had given into that little piece of her heart.

message 4: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin And so this girl sat quietly, eating with no words, all alone, as she had every single day. But suddenly, something changed. Something was different. History was shattered. Someone sat down next to the girl.

message 5: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ She focused hard on staring down at her lunch. She didn't dare look up. She felt herself go completely tense, her heart pounding. She felt like a scared rabbit that was about to be pounced on by a hungry wolf. Her natural instinct was to run and hide. But she knew that would be completely ridiculous. So what could she do?

"Um... are you okay?" the voice asked from beside her.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

"Fine." She mumbles trying to mask her sadness. "No you aren't." He replies with no expression, just concern. "What's wrong?" She stays silent for a while. "Nothing." The effort to hide her depression didn't work. "Come on. You can tell me." The only thing she can see in his eyes is care. But the last person who cared broke her heart. She wasn't going to let herself believe someone cared about her. Not again. "I can't." She looks into his eyes as if she's about to say something, about to confess, about to stop lying to herself. But instead she walks away.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

She felt anger rise up over her small part of tender heart. How dare he think that he could walk up to her like that! She trudges over to the trash can to dispose of the half eaten food.

message 8: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin (Wow...we switched from past tense to present tense all of a sudden...)

The girl shot one more infuriating look at the boy before rushing off to her next class.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

The boy watched her with a smirk. "Touchy."

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

(the girl needs a name!)

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

((and the boy?))

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

(hmmm..... "_)

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

((how 'bout... elise? jk))

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

(LOL! :D
How about... I never did good with names. Can we keep it kind of simple? I'm getting confused with all of these character names from the stories.)

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

((dunno))

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

(*sigh* this is quite frustrating. Ok. Just start naming off a bunch of common names you know. Rachel, Jessica, Nicky, Haley...)

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

((i'm just gonna pick the classic one, kay?))
Sarah couldn't focus on her classes. Her thoughts all turned to him/.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

(Brilliant!)
"Then the equation turns into a prime comparison, thus resulting to no solution." The teacher drolled on. "Sarah, Could you please do problem eight for us?" Mr. Iram asked.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh!" Sarah blushed. "Yes, Mr. Iram."

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

She stumbled up to the board and looked at the problem in front of her.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well done!" Mr. Iram praised soon after.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Sarah would have smiled. If she had remembered how. Instead she quickly turned and sat back down in her seat. "What a nerd!" One of the girls whispered to another. They stifled their burst of giggles.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Trying to hide her frown, Sarah buried her head in her arms. What a nerd! The cruel voice replayed many times in her head and the giggles gradually got louder, then died down. Sarah wished she could just disapeer - forever.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

But her mind was brought back to reality when she heard the bell ring.

message 25: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 10, 2008 08:43PM) (new)

Glad that she had gotten past the school day, Sarah rushed out of the classroom in a hurry to get home - a place free from people who made her feel out of place, a place where she could cry freely, a place that always seemed too far from where she was. She was in such a hurry she didn't notice she had aciddentally knocked into a boy on her way through the hall. "S-s-sorry." Sarah managed to stammer without looking up. "It's okay." The boy smiled.
Without looking up, Sarah could recognize his voice, soft and gently, and his smile, subtle but powerful. It was the boy from lunch. "Thanks." She mumbled as quietly as she could and started to dart out the exit. "Wait!" He beckoned. His beckoning was silenced by the door shutting. She was gone again. "Wait." He said softly once more, hoping she might hear him with her heart.

... we need a name for him... any ideas?

message 26: by Sella (new)

Sella Malin ((Derek? Nicko? Milo? Ryan?))

message 27: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ (Milo!!! XD hahaha. that's my little brother's name. it's a cool name, isn't it? i don't have a problem using it...)

message 28: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 44 comments (how does alexander sound? i kind of like that name... and i think that it fits what we know about the boy so far...)

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

((like it!))

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

I kind of like the name Derek... it sort of fits him.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

((...))

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

lets just pick anything...

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

(Gavin?)

message 34: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) ((i like that...))

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

:D

message 36: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) It was later that night when I heard a soft knock on the door. I frowned. No one came to our house. My older sister was out, and my parents were still at work. I got up and padded to the door, my book still in my hand. When I opened it, it was the boy from lunch.
"Hey." he smiled crookedly. I scowled back at him.
"How do you know where I live? Why are you here?"
"School directory." he said casually. "Do you want to go on a walk?"

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

"no." I stated flatly. I started to shut the door on him.

message 38: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) He grabbed the door. "Please?" he said, eyes begging.
I glared coldy at him. "I said no." I said icily. "And I'd like for you to leave ."
He held up his hands, eyes rising to heaven. "Okay, okay." he smiled. His smile was so sweet... No! I scolded myself. stop! "If you change your mind, my names Gavin." he handed me a piece of paper. I felt the urge to rip it, but for some reason did not. "In case you wanna hang out or... talk. Kay?" he smiled his adorable smile and turned away. I slammed the door shut, though not as hard, perhaps, as I normally would have.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

I felt odd. Confused would be more correct. Who was this Gavin? Why did he care about me? These thoughts were running through my head as I walked to the kitchen.

message 40: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) The next day at school, I tried not to look for him, but found myself doing so. What are you doing? I scolded myself, and tripped over my laces. A warm hand grabbed my elbow.
"You okay?" Gavin said, concerned.
I yanked away. "No better for the asking." I spat and turned on my heel, stalking away.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

(woo hoo! I've been waiting for someone!)

I felt my heart race after he had touched me. I heard him follow me to my locker. "well, if you're okay then I guess there isn't anything to worry about then is there?" He replied with a laugh. He kept on chatting to me as we walked to my locker.

message 42: by Morgan (last edited Jun 12, 2008 07:56AM) (new)

Morgan (cheshire) | 203 comments Now Sarah was more annoyed than anything else. "Do you not know how to take a hint? Go away."

message 43: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ (srry, but um did we switch from third person to first person?)

message 44: by Morgan (new)

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

(hey! Okay let's continue eh?"D

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

i'm going to write this part in 3rd person... because i don't know what we're writing in anymore... sorry..

Sarah watched a hurt expression wash over Gavin's face. But it was soon replaced by a smile, he never could stay upset for long. Inside Sarah wished she could be like that, the type of person who would get over things and stay strong. But she wasn't. "Okay then, I'll see you later Sarah." He told her as he walked down the halls. Sarah. He said her name as if it were a line to a gentle song. Nobody else had ever said it like Gavin. Her eyes gazed at him as he walked into the distance, but she turned away. She wouldn't let herself fall too hard, not again.

message 48: by Allie (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) I don't like him. she told herself. I don't I don't I don't. she walked to class. She wasn't surprised to see him chatting with a girl. Flirting probably she told herself and sat down in the back.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Her class drolled on and on for what seemed like hours. Sarah didn't really notice as she found herself continually gazing at Gavin.

message 50: by Veronica (new)
