I just recently got 8 yaoi manga off of ebay for $12! Yay me!!!

Oh I love Selfish Mr Mermaid, the second volume should be out pretty soon, I'm planning on getting it as soon as I can.

Yeah, I saw it on the shelf at the bookstore the other day but didn't have quite enough to get it, so when I go back to get Dry Heat here in a day or two I thought I'd grab it then! :D

I haven't seen it at my own bookstore yet, but as soon as I do I'll be buying it, may I ask what Dry Heat is? Oh and have you ever heard of a yaoi called A Strange and Mystifying Story?

Yes, I have heard of that one and I think I read it a while ago (2yrs maybe?). I keep meaning to pick up a copy and then find one I haven't read that I want to grab.

Dry Heat is by Yugi Yamada (whom I love) and it's about:

"When I grow up, I'm gonna change the law so boys can marry other boys. Then will you marry me?" Ten years ago, a young Tatsuhiko extracted that promise with sparkling eyes, and then disappeared from his high-class boys' boarding school. Nobu, the servant tasked with finding him, must press on relying only on traces of the distant past! The electricity of single-minded, pure male love is here!"

That was what goodreads had for a summary. I'm pretty sure I've read it before, but now I've read so many it's hard to keep them straight. :D

I went on a Half Price Books tour a couple weeks ago and found a bunch of awesome yaoi for cheap!!! For a buck(each) I got: Love Mode 1-3 and J-Boy Biblos. Then for $5.50 each I got volumes 1-5 of Love Pistols and Empty Heart. Totally awesome^^!!!

The second vol. of A Strange and Mystifying Story should be out soon, I'm still debating whether or not I want to get it. I mean the first one was good but it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, Dry Heat sounds kind of intriguing I might have to look into it! Thanks for the summary.

I just picked up Voice or Noise vol 3 by Yamimaru Enjin :D I really liked the first 2 so I'm excited to read it!!!

Hey you all just wanted to let Finder Series fans in this group that Akadot already has volume 1 on sale! I was too excited to wait 1-2 months it takes for Amazon to have it available even at the great price so I already ordered my copy. >.<

Yeah, but I like that they have some imported items that are hard to find and even more expensive through ebay. That's where I recently purchased some Vf items I really wanted: the Aki cup, an Asami poster, and the Asami & Aki notebook/planner sets. They also have some other stuff like vf book covers and bookmarkers but hopefully I'll be able to get those later. :)

I can be mature about this, really. I was even able to keep it to myself for awhile, at least until the news was actually posted at the site. But now I can actually say-I WON, I WON!! I actually can't believe I won a free copy of the Finder series v. 1. They ran a contest over at the Yaoi Review; you had to show you were the biggest fan-how, was up to your discretion-I entered thinking that with the massive fanbase I wouldn't probably stand a chance. But I was actually one of the winners-how lucky is that? :D

I've lost two women like you described in your post in the last few years, my grandma and then one of my ladies from my mom's and my quilt group. Both were extremely strong-willed, determined and full of life despite dementia and old age in my grandma's case, and a long battle with cancer in my ladie's. I'm very sorry for your loss and I hope you're doing well.

There's so much yaoi out right now I want to go buy! Why am I not rich???

I'm getting so impatient waiting for amazon to have June's December releases; along w/ Ze v. 6, Deeply Loving a Maniac, and Yokan Premonition 2-titles that were released several weeks ago at akadot and which of course amazon is taking forever to have available. That means that I'm going through yaoi withdrawal, the last titles I read were Treasure v. 1 and Kiss Blue v. 2.
On a positive note, I have preordered my copy of Missing Road by Shushushu Sakurai over at DramaQueen. There were also a slew of highly anticipated releases this month of my most favorite LGBT authors/series to keep me entertained; Icecapade by Josh Lanyon, Trusted Bond (Bk# 2)by Mary Calmes, Fish & Chips (Bk #3)by Madeleine Urban & Abigail Roux, and this Friday there's Andrea Speed's Infected: Bloodlines (Bk #2). :)

I JUST BOUGHT 24 VOLUMES OF YAOI MANGA AT THE USED BOOKSTORE FOR $20 AFTER I USED A COUPON AND SOME GIFT CARDS!!!!!!! :D

For the entire month of March, Viz is having a $0.99 sale on all Vol. 1's (normally $4.99) on sale through the VIZ Manga App for the iPad!

They are reprinting both Kizuna and the Finder series. No more do we have to hunt without success, or pay a fortune for the rare copies. Plus Kizuna was never released in english after volume 7(?) so this is especially exciting.
Also on the note of old things coming back, they are remaking the anime of Ai No Kusabi. And it looks HOT!

Gabrielle: Ai no Kusabi has been available in North America for years. In both written (novel/manga) and OVA form. Ebay, Akadot (used to carry it), Sakura Media, and even Amazon/Chapters do have it. Ebay seems to be a little more lucky for the OVA. AnimeNation, Anime Wild and Anime Castle are other great places to search up merchandise. You just need to research and snoop around for the best bargains. I bought my OVA @ Ebay. The novels from other retailers. And if you need Ai no Kusabi info try this website - it's really awesome, one of the best I've seen.

I am assuming it will be available legally. If it's not then I think we can depend on aarinfantasy :D If you go to aarinfantasy now they even have the trailor, and about a ten minute clip.

I was talking about the original OVA (which can be purchased as a legal copy). I don't like the new version. And it was issued through a legit company in Japan ( licensed to sell it). I don't support pirating.

As far as yaoi goes, if I can buy it I will, but if it's only available to us online then so be it. For example I have Staining the White Pine with Crimson Frosted Snow <3, but I just saw the other day that they have a copy at borders, so next time I get money I'm snatching it as my own :D

From what I've seen of the new OVA, it looks like they even used to old style of anime and didn't try to change anything except adding more plot.

I received my dvd copy of Antique Bakery on the 14th. I watched it all that same evening and doing it again right now. It's so lovely and fun...and all those desserts look so delicious. I also purchased Finder no Netsujou on ebay. :)

I'm waiting until Anime Expo then I'm going to splurge on all the yaoi on my To Buy list. That will also give me time to make more room on my bookshelves, LOL.

I'm about to receive Treasure 2, and can't wait for May 10th when Junjo Romantica ssn 2 is out. :)
