Any watchers? What do you like/dislike?

I just watched Sex Pistols (which should have remained Love Pistols since I keep thinking its about the punk band when people are talking), and thought it was hilarious. That has got to be the most bizarre, ridonkulous manga I've ever read. The anime so far wasn't as bad(good? lol).

Gabrielle Blaque/~Bhlack Benehvolence~ (werewolfgrl1) | 77 comments I unfortunately have never watched a yaoi anime, I saw something on the june manga website not too long ago that talked about a manga called Junjo Romantica, and it looked as if they might be turning it into an anime. I don't know for sure yet though.

Mary (mary-soto) | 38 comments If it's yaoi or shonen-ai I definitely try to watch it or buy it when it becomes available here in the US. There are several of them but not most of them have been english subbed. Junjo Romantica is the yaoi anime based on the graphic novels, the first season is already on sale and it's a wonderful title to add to your yaoi collection. There's drama, comedy, and although not as explicit as the gn there is still some very sexy scenes.

Some other titles (english subbed) are: No Money vls. 1 & 2, Sensitive Pornograph, I Shall Never Return, Embracing Love, Papa to Kiss in the Dark, Angel's Feather, Sukisho vls. 1-3, Gakuen Heaven vls. 1-4 and Princess Princess. I almost forgot a favorite one of mine; Mirage of Blaze vls. 1-4 and the ova Rebels of the River Edge-although I wish there was an ova where Naoe actually gets lucky already-poor guy-but the tension is just delicious. >.<

A great source for yaoi anime is aarinfantasy.com; which has new releases such as Hey! Class President ovas 1 & 2, Sex Pistols ova 1, among others that haven't become available here in the US. :)

Now for a question or better yet, recommendations if you have any. I fell in love with the films Ai no Kotodama, Sukitomo, Takumi-kun, Antique Bakery, Itsuka no Kimi e and US title Latter Days. I also own Love of Siam and Bangkok Love Story and absolutely enjoyed them. Do any of you know films similar to these-HEA preferred. Any help/recs are appreciated. Thanks! :)

Gabrielle Blaque/~Bhlack Benehvolence~ (werewolfgrl1) | 77 comments I didn't know Gakuen Heaven was an anime that's really cool, I loved the manga I'll have to look up that site you told us about.

Gabrielle Blaque/~Bhlack Benehvolence~ (werewolfgrl1) | 77 comments I was looking at the site you mentioned and I was just wondering if this is a site where you talk about yaoi anime or if you can watch it too?

Mary (mary-soto) | 38 comments As far as I know you can discuss and watch; but I've never fully explored all they offer there. They have anime and manga or anything related to yaoi basically. Hope that helps. :)

Gabrielle Blaque/~Bhlack Benehvolence~ (werewolfgrl1) | 77 comments Thanks, I'll see what I can find.

You can watch it at aarin fantasy. I found the site a little confusing and so have only been on a couple of times, but they have the anime, manga, and just some very good artwork *wink*. And now speaking of it, I may need to go pay it another visit :D

Watched Sex Pistols the other day, so funny! But I thought maybe confusing to those who hadn't read the manga. Oh well, they should've kept the original name though (Love Pistols), every time someone mentions the Sex Pistols ova I'm like wha? Since when did those punks make a video? lol XD

Gabrielle Blaque/~Bhlack Benehvolence~ (werewolfgrl1) | 77 comments Is it necessary to have read the manga before watching the anime?

message 10: by Mary (new)

Mary (mary-soto) | 38 comments If you're talking about Sex Pistols, it's not really necessary but it would make more sense b/c the ova is just basically highlights of the manga. So if you want more backstory and details about the characters and what's going on then I would suggest you read the manga first. It has been released up to the 5th volume right now in english but you can find some continuing chapters at manga.animea.net. :)

Gabrielle Blaque/~Bhlack Benehvolence~ (werewolfgrl1) | 77 comments thanks, I'll look into it as soon as I have some money.

Mary (mary-soto) | 38 comments Just to let you know that aarinfantasy.com already has Koisuru Boukun (The Tyrant Falls in Love) ova 1 and the animix Yebisu Celebrities. :)

Ingrid | 2 comments The junjou anime is great! I love it, what I like most about it is the comedy aspect. It shows much better in anime.

Eleanor Johnson (shikataganai) | 23 comments For some reason, the anime makes me uncomfortable... >.> that and in general manga is just so much better than anime (hahaha did that hurt anime fans >:D?) but hey, thats just me.
