Vampires, werewolves, and withches who illegally fall in love with humans-and that's forbidden.

Uglies is raeally good. We started reading it for read-aloud in class. Now that school's (almost) over, we can't read it anymore.

Well, I've read it before. So my teacher reading it was a refresher course, pretty much.

message 4: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) I like the Uglies and Night World 1 ideas. They're both really good.
Group Read Suggestions:
~Graceling by Kristin Cashore
~The Angel Experiment by James Patterson
~City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
~Marked by P.C. and Kristin Cast

Have read all of them except for City of Bones, which I plan to read this month. :)

message 5: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Its really good! I might be read Betrayed, the second one, pretty soon.

message 6: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Here is a link to my review of Marked. I'm not really supposed to be linking it here because it hasn't debuted yet, but I like this one better than the first. *Please keep my secret! Don't start following us or anything, but I'll let you know when we can start having followers. Thanks a bunches* :)

Cheryl Symko (csymko) | 36 comments The House of Night series is really good. I think you will both like them. I am reading Burned right now which is really good. Looking forward to finishing it and then start reading the newest book Kiss of Death for the Morganville Vampire series. That is another good series if you have not tried them. Rachel Caine is a good author.

message 8: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Have heard a lot of good things about that series, but no, I've never got into them like I want to. Are you excited that there is going to be an eighth book, Awakened?

message 9: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Symko (csymko) | 36 comments I am excited about Awakened coming out. I look forward to it coming out.
The whole Morganville Vampire series is great. Lot of good characters and never boring. Rachel Caine is a great author. Have not checked out any of her other series.

message 10: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Will have to read those whenever I get the chance then. I think MV is in my TBR list... Will go check :) Thanks for the great suggestions Cheryl

I read whatever I want. My mom or dad don't really care. They just wish I wouldn't spend so much time reading!!

Queen Susan the Gentle (highqueensusanofcairparavel) I don't drive my mom crazy with my reading, she read alot when she was my age too.

message 15: by Clary Fray (new)

Clary Fray (girlsoccer86) | 246 comments Mod
yeah, but my mom tells me to stop reading!! I read the whole first Harry Potter book in 18 hours-straight, only pausing to use the broom and eat-AND I was in 2nd grade!

message 16: by CJ (new)

CJ WOW! I read a book in a day, while school was in session and I told my mom, she got mad cuz then i wasn't "paying attention in class" I ONLY READ WHEN I AM FINISHED WITH WORK AND NO ONE IS TALKING...except my classmates
