Hello, I am Heather I used to not like to read but lately I have loved to read. I like most genres of books. I have also recently gotten into reading the classics, I have not read many but I would like to read many more, at the moment my favorite classic is Wuthering Heights. I am excited that you made this group Hope!
Hey guys! I'm galya. I've been looking for a small group to join, and I see you have your eyes on the classics! So here I am!
YOU ARE NOT EXPECTED TO READ ALL THIS:I am Callie. I used to read a ton, but lately I have not found the time. However, when I do pick up a book, I usually get pretty into it and don't put it down until I'm done. I love mysteries and suspense. My absolute favorites are LDS romance suspense novels, which I have found out there are quite a few of. My favorite book is Alice in Wonderland, but that is one of the few classics I have read (if its a classic). I tend to like more modern books, but I am willing to give classics a try. I also like to write, but usually, I only write the first few paragraphs and then never pick it up again.
That's all :)

I agree they really have alot more meaning to them. Alot (though definitely not all) of modern books are just fluff.
Ooh Callie have you read Samuel: Moroni's Young Warrior
. It is really really good and sounds like something you would like alot!

Yeah, not all of them are completely fluff but it seems like we lose depth as we move on in time. It's sad!

Hi guys,
My name's Marielaure (Milo for short). I have been an avid reader for quite a few years now, started with non-fiction (mostly history) and then moved on to classics.
My absolute favorites are Dickens and Austen, I also like Tolstoy and Dostoevski. The worst classic I've ever read was Ulysses...
The last book I read is "The grapes of Wrath" by Steinbeck, finished it on the bus this morning.
I try reading contemporary fiction but I always see it as a bit of gamble, can it beat Dickens? who will own a (digital) copy of this book in 200 years?
Looking forward to discussing books with you all!

Hello, my name is Hope and I am a book addict. My passion is writing and I love to experiment with it. I also enjoy studying the history of different places. One of my favorite kind of books to read are classics. They have so much more depth to them than modern writing. I made this group mainly for these kind of books, but I am open to all kinds of books.
