Renee is currently reading this. I probably won't read along on this one right now because my library only has cassette tapes available not CD and I'm not sure if I can find my cassette player - I haven't used it in so long :-) I've got too many other books in my to-read pile, so unless I have audiobook available, I can't right now. If I stumble upon my cassette player sometime soon, I might be back here in the near future.
"Elwyn, I got news for you. You killed this poor creature on my property so she's mine.""What you gonna do with a deer? Blasted vegetarian!"
I love the humor.
doc says to Elwyn he needs a tetanus shot since he shot himself in the foot...
"Oh, I got one of them already"
"When"
"Last year from ol' Doc Pomeroy. After I shot myself."
"Is this an annual event?"
"That one went through my other foot. "Twerent a bid deal."
Can we say Beverly Hillbilly?????
The next scene is a town sheriff pulling his wife over after chasing her down for drunk driving.

With well-known authors I like to do audiobooks because I can accomplish other things like chores and walking the dog etc. I also like to have the printed book so wh;en I hear something that stands out or that I'm particularly interested in, I look it up in the book. With lesser-known authors or Advance Review Copies audiobooks usually aren't available.
I checked some other libraries and only saw the cassette. If the book is available on CD I might be able to get my library to purchase it, but that takes a while... I'll keep looking into it :-) You'll probably be done with the book by the time I can get an audiobook though, but that's okay.

I dont normally read so fast, but seems I cannot put her books down - and since I am between semesters I have more time to read.

That's All Good :-) both that you can't put her books down and that you have more time to read :-)

I've been listening to Bloodstream on Audio Cassette and I'm just past half-way now. This is probably one of my least favorite Gerritsen books, but it's definitely interesting. On the back cover, John Saul says:
"Be prepared to drop all your obligations until you finish this one; Gerritsen's story grabs you and holds you from page one." - John Saul
This book is a lot like something Saul would write - the Devil comes to Tranquility, Maine. It's similar to ICE COLD in the fact that something mysterious is happening and as the reader (or listener :-), I'm trying to figure out what's really going on.

LOL! I had to put the book on hold - been ill and not up to reading. I will pick back up in a few days.

I hope you end up enjoying it. I thought it was interesting :-)
