(Start Here after you made a character)

Mirari walked along the hallways, knowing exactly where to go and how to track footprints so she wouldn't crash into people.

Kody walked into the new school, he'd just moved from New York.

((where is this place?))

((No idea.)) Mirari misjudged where footsteps were coming from and crashed into someone. "Oh, sorry."

"No, sorry, it was my fault," she heard a male voice say. "I wasn't watching where I was going."

She looked up to where she hoped his face was. "Hard to tell where everyone is with all the footsteps everywhere." She laughed. "I'm Mirari."

He took her hand and shook it,"My name's Kody."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. Have you lived here long?"

She nodded. "Since I was born. Did you just move here?'

"Yeah, from New York. Can you help me around?"

"Absolutely, what's your first class?"

"Umm...Pre-cal."

"Me too, right this way." She led the way expertly through the crowds. Several kids looked at her a bit strangely at first, but smiled as they continued on their way. She stopped in front of the Pre-calc room. "Here we are."

A few kids were already in the room, including a blond and brown haired male reading a book at the back of the class.

"Thanks," he smiled. "Um, I hope you don't mind me asking but...are you blind?"

"I don't mind at all, and yes."

"Well, there's no one prettier I could have had bump into me on my first day," he grinned.

She blushed. "Thanks..."

Gently he took her arm and lead her to a seat,"You can sit here." It had to be somewhere in the front row.

She nodded and sat down, feeling her way through backpack to grab her binder. Unfortunately there was a sub, who did not realize she was blind and started scribbling on the whiteboard different equations.

Kody sat down in the seat next to her, staring blankly ahead. "Excuse me, sir?...Are you writing something?"

He turned and nodded. "Yes, can you not tell?"

"Well...not by sight sir."

The sub blinked, studying his eyes. "Are you blind?" He asked, not unkindly.

"No, he's just pretending to be because others of us are." the boy with the blond and brown hair spoke up, moving himself up to the front on the other side of Mirari.

Mirari turned, trying to gage where the other boy was by his voice. "Is that so?" The sub asked.

"Yep." he said, pulling his books out again.

"I'm not quite sure how one would go about teaching a student who is blind. How does you're regular teacher usually do it?"

Kody glared at him,"It would have worked if you hadn't said anything."

"Well it's better to tell him the truth."

He rolled his eyes, muttering about him being a sub so it didn't matter.

"Just talk while your writing and go a little slower." the boy said as he continued writing down what was already on the board.

He nodded, saying what he wrote and Mirari copied it as he said it, her handwriting a bit clumsy, but legible.

((dont the blind have a different sort of alphabet? its like holes in the paper or something like that))

Kody wrote down the things on the bored.

((Brail and they're bumps, they should be going to another school actually)

((Mirari wanted a challenge so decided to go to a normal school. She works around her disability.))

Eventually class ended and Mirari packed up.

The other boy packed up also.

Mirari turned to him. "I never got your name."

Kody packed up as well.

"Cody." he said, taking her hand gently in his and shaking it.

"I'm Mirari." She smiled.

"How do you spell it?" Kody asked.

"C-o-d-y."

"I spell mine with a K so at least there's a difference," he grinned then held out his hand. "Nice to meet you."

"It's a pleasure." he smiled amusedly back, shaking his hand.

"What class are you going to next?"

"Physics."
