Who was the hero of the month for February, out of the books you read, and why?

My February hero is Ciaran Tamberlane from My Forever Love by Marsha Canham.
He is a virgin hero that was once a Templar. He's tortured but still honorable. A man with true heart.

Ally | 75 comments Marcus Cage I Thirst For You Marcus is a total dangerous hero he's really bad but totally loveable! He seems a little unstable but he's been tortured and finally found his soul mate and there on the run!

Harry Rutledge from Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas. He was ruthless and often dishonorable, but he wanted Poppy enough to do anything to get her. I find that irresistible.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments My February pick is Sherriff Zeke Mayes from Lora Leigh's Nauti Deceptions Nauti Deceptions (Nauti, #5) by Lora Leigh . This guy has been intriguing me for three books before he got his own.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 54 comments Have to go back to check what books did I read for February.

My February hero would be Diaz from Linda Howard's Cry No More. I love this book very much, and part of what makes it so special, is this hero.

I love Diaz!

message 17: by Othena (new)

Othena Diaz lover here also. I've read the ending of this book so many times. I know that sounds crazy but I just love the ending of this book.

Linda Howard is one heck of a writer IMO.

I agree with you. I adore Linda Howard's work. Did you read her series romances? I kept wishing for more of those like the Mackenzie series or Diamond Bay.

I've read/own most of her books. I love the Mackenzie series and Duncan's Bride,Loving Evangeline.
Have you read After the Night,Shades Of Twilight. I think my favorite of hers is Death Angel.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Othena wrote: "...Have you read..."

I'm on a mission to read everything of hers that I missed. When she first started writing hardcore suspense, I abandoned her because I read a book set in Orlando (where I grew up) and it was a bit much for me to take...too much suspense, not enough romance. Her newer stuff has more romance in with the suspense, but I only started reading it recently.

The trilogy with Sarah's Child and Bluebird Winter is currently my favorite of her series work, and I adore Mr. Perfect.

I'm going back and reading her backlist too, Mollie.

message 22: by Othena (new)

Othena oh, Mr. Perfect was so funny. I've read this one so many times.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I've just ordered "To Mother With Love" which is way way way back on the backlist. I've read Mr. Perfect about five times. I liked the geek humor posted at the workplace. I used to have written in as part of my job description that I had to cut out and post Dilbert each day.

message 24: by Othena (new)

Othena I loved the geek humor. I've got 2 copies of this book because I picked up a tradesize at Sam's cheap and I kept the mass pb to loan out.
I went thru a Linda Howard glom 2 yrs ago and read everything I could get. I still haven't read Come Lie With Me,Overload,or The Way Home. But I think that's those are the only ones I missed.
So that means I do a lot of re-reading. :)

Cutting/posting Dilberts daily must have been a hoot.

Othena, it arrived, and I find it's a 3-fer from 1991 with The Way Home (Saxon Malone and Anna Sharp) which I've read many times before. I adore that story, if you can't get your hands on a copy, I suggest getting it from (gasp!) the PUBLIC LIBRARY (tee hee hee). Overload was all right but I don't think it was worth buying new, if you can find it secondhand you should be fine. Come Lie with Me was marvelous, it's worth whatever you have to pay (up to but not beyond the cover price).

I'm keeping To Mother With Love for the Robyn Carr story. There's also one by Cheryl Reavis.
