I think his lingering "attachments" kind of weakened him in my eyes. Either that or his morals are skewed. (It didn't take him very long, in that case. Even Ethan disapproved of the Celina business and he's many years older.)
Morgan is caught in the middle of a bad situation.. He is letting his sense of loyalty to Celina rule him which is a bad thing.. Don't think he intends to come off as the bad guy, but I could be wrong..
I agree with Deb. And I feel it was wrong to push Merit into an "arrangement" with him. It wasn't fair to him since he really has feelings for her.
I think Ethan did it partly because he was mad that Merit didn't take him up on his "offer" and also because of house politics! I do think he sees the error of his ways now! I agree that Morgan is caught in a bad situation but I wish he was a little bit tougher to handle it. Right now he is coming across as having too much on his plate! I hope he steps up!
I'd like to know more about Morgan's power. He does come across as being in over his head and being a 2nd and now the head vamp must mean that he has something to offer. I hope that this is explored in more detail, even if he ends up being the bad guy. We still want a bad guy to be plausible right?I liked Morgan because he was funny and hot - the club scene is one of my favorites - when she tells him he has been planning his outfit for weeks. LOL.
i love him apolgizing on both knees..haha. that was so funny i loved like all the scenes wit morgan from some girls bite. i forgot some of them in friday night bites.
The club scene with Morgan was one of my favorites! I could totally picture what he was wearing in my head! I guess he could turn out to be the bad guy but I really hope not! Although, that could defintely make for some intersting drama! He is going to be really pissed if Ethan and Merit do end up together!

omg. i knoe. i really wanna c how he'll react. he'll be mad as hell, like before b/c merit kept telling him how there is nothing between her and ethan.

I want to know how he can use telepathy with Merit.. Its suppose to be something only Ethan can do.. Not to mention Scott can't..
I agree. He seems like he's in over his head, and I'd like to know what made him 2nd and now head vamp material, LOL. Step up, Morgan! I can totally imagine his outfit in the club. Trendy. I could see him as a villain too- not as the cackling type but just opposing Ethan and Merit when they make a decision he doesn't agree with.I'd like to know how he can use telepathy with her too!
I am sure once Merit and Ethan get together and Morgan finds out mad is not the word for what he is gonna be...
LOL! I can imagine. He'll say I told you so. I don't think that would make him turn against them completely, but it might drive a little wedge between them, make it easier for him to eventually become their enemy.
Some how I seriously doubt I told you so is going to cover it... We can hope that he will be an adult and not let it hurt their working relationship.. However, I think that Gabriel going to Ethan for Merit to guard him is going to cause some issues as well...

1. All out baddie as Celina's right hand man. (The move to the dark side fueled by Merit dissing him for Ethan and his infatuation with Celina) or
2. Morgan shifts to a less prominant character, but stays essentially good, less in the picture(potentially Noah takes his place in the triangle.)
KC I had the same thought about Noah as well.. It would be an interesting twist to see someone from a house with a rouge... I am reserving my judgement on wether or not Morgan will be a baddie.. I like him as a character..

I would definately prefer option #2, I liked his personality and would hate to have to hate him.
Of course, this is all the world according to me - and we know that we can't always get what we want :)
I didn't really like him either, but it's true he's not really villainous. That sympathy would probably make him a better choice for baddie. >:DNoah seems stereotypical rebel. I don't think I'll make up my mind about him until we learn more about him.
<>I think this is more likely. They are broken up at this point and I don't see them getting back together. Merit never seemed to totally connect with him. When he asked if she wanted him her response was 'I want to want you'. It was like she knew he was the type of guy she should like (ie, good looking, charming, powerful) but for some reason he didn't hit her buttons.
I just finished rereading the first two books (getting ready for book 3, can't wait!) Now that I know about Celina's betrayal, I carefully looked for any hints that Morgan knew and if he had been in cahoots with her. He really seemed shocked and disappointed. And when he and Merit broke up, he seemed upset. It didn't seem like something staged as if he and Celina had been working together.
I like Morgan but it would be interesting if Merit and Ethan made him so bitter that he teamed up with Celina just to get revenge. Right now he is kind of a pansy so it might be interesting.....
I don't see how Morgan can be made a background character since he is the head of one of the houses... I guess we will have to wait and see... He certainly needs to get himself together and do the right thing..
<>Shannon - don't you think that Morgan seemed guilty towards the end of FNB - more so than shocked? I felt that was a source of some of his anger.
Deb -Maybe background sounds too distant - I was thinking like Scott, who plays into the story, but not prominently.
KC Morgan may shift into that type of role.. but I am thinking maybe not until the Celina mess is cleaned up...
