Anne Amundson (iswallowedthesnitch) Sweet! Theres a whole bunch of interesting books on there! Here's my nominations, though:
Award winner: Looking for Alaska (In your Pants!!!!! [Sorry... I had to... Nerdfighters!!!:]- John Green (Has this group read that one yet? If we have, can I pick another one?
Other: I was going to nominate An Abundance of Katherines, but since I've already got a John Green down, I think I want to go with something a bit smaller. Can I nominate Harmonic Feedback by Tara Kelly? Its new and pretty small, but it's gotten great reviews and just looks amazing. I doubt many of us have read it. It would be really cool to have a brand new book on the list!
There are so many other books I would nominate. I almost chose A Little Wanting Song, but I have already read that... And even though it was chat worthy, I want to read something new! (Not that I don't read new things all the time....)
Oh well... I'm ranting...

Lulu,

Just FYI- You can only nominate one for the award winners and then you can nominate one book of choice, so you'd have to separate your nominates into the 2 categories.

message 24: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Fiona, I can't find the poll for the non-award winning book for July... Am I completely blind?

message 25: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Oh, I voted on that already without even considering the month. :) haha...

message 26: by Amy (new)

Amy I always just look at the selections and pay no attention to titles. I voted!

message 27: by Donna (new)

Donna (dfiggz) | 1332 comments I have no interest to read any of the two so I will sit this one out. I still have to catch up on my other reads so this works out for me!

I hope you guys enjoy it otherwise!!!

message 28: by Donna (new)

Donna (dfiggz) | 1332 comments They both look good, and I am sure they are, but I have a lot of catching up to do and these just aren't a must read in my head!

message 29: by Amy (new)

Amy Yay. I've read the Golden Compass but Leviathan sounds interesting.

message 30: by Kelstar (new)

Kelstar | 11 comments I love Scott Westerfeld! I started Leviathan awhile ago but started it regretfully the day before I had to return it to library so I've only read the first 50 pages or so. I am excited to finish it. The beginning was really good. I haven't read The Golden Compass, but I have seen the movie which was okay. I'm going to read it, hopefully it's a good one.

message 31: by Amy (new)

Amy My tbr pile is written in composition notebooks. I'm currently on notebook number 2.

message 32: by Amy (new)

Amy I agree. I didn't really like the movie, although it was neat to see it in live action. I didn't like Nicole Kidman in it.

message 33: by Eden (new)

Eden Silverfox (tsalagi_writer) | 265 comments I love The Golden Compass. It was a very good book.

message 34: by Barb (new)

Barb (barblibrarian1) Great picks. Neither were on my TBR list, but to me, that is what this is all about - stretching myself to read outside my box!

message 35: by Amy (new)

Amy Once you read the first one, you'll want to read the rest of the series. It's awesome!

message 36: by Roseanne (new)

Roseanne (rschmread) | 41 comments I'll have to go get my Dark Materials book. I just took out Leviathan today so woot..
