Hi. I'm happy to find this group. I added A Wish in Time by Laurel Bradley to the bookshelf. I'm also an author, although my first and only published novel so far isn't a romance--but it is about reincarnation, a type of time travel plot device. My second and yet to be published is a novel that fits this category.

Hi all!
Just joined today! I remember my first time travel of THIS TIME FOR KEEPS by Kathleen Kane (Maureen Child) and so love it. I laughed, I cried! I've read a few others since (just been reading every genre romance) but feel the need for a time travel and maybe it will get me out of my slump I'm in with reading! I probably have some in my TBR but don't know what! So I'll be watching around here to see what you all reading and I shall be checking out and doing a TT read! I miss it!

I'm Cathie (Caffey) and really enjoy almost all genres in romances. I mostly love the historical, paranormal and fantasy romances. I too read contemps and the like so pretty much all goes for me with romance. I love historical mysteries with those bubbling romances in them (Victoria Thompson and looking for more to read). I'm unemployed right now and pretty much love filling my time with my family, reading and chatting books!

Hi Im sandi I LOVE time travel books!there used to be alot of them..back in the early 80's..I still have a lot that Ive kept...of course the Outlander series is still my favorite..looking forward to hearing what others recommend & sharing with you mine.

Hi Sandi!! Shying away here, I've yet to read the Outlander books! I should make a goal of reading that one, I heard so much good about them. I'd love to find some from earlier like the 80's to read. I did find a few of those Jove Time Passages series and read a few and loved those! I hope some day they'll re-release them in ebooks, if not in print. I need to take a trip to the used book store and see too Terri Brisbin, Sherry Lewis and Dee Davis of Jove's.

Deception Past Hi, Cathie! I like time travel from the Roman empire thru WWII. I especially like reincarnation stories as a form of time travel. Do you also?

I decided to read this work as I, like many I know, harbor an interest in Tarot and Regression Therapy (Past Life experiences). The story has a few main characters, aside from ‘Brenda’ whom is telling the story of Sand. I personally found that I enjoyed the spanned time-frame with historic events and Sand’s view on them.
It opens in the present in the year of 2007 to set up the events that begin in 1958, beginning the story of Sand (Sandy) when she is four years old. Entries go back to the current time with Brenda, then back in time to Sand. They also touch back even further in time with Sand’s dreams, and those identities that the characters embrace. It was very interesting to see how the paths crossed and the past caught up to the present and the effects.
While reading, it was interesting for me to see how I felt a bond with Sand on her view of the world. She seems to follow her own heart and mind and refuses to allow those in her life influence her. She is open with her thoughts and ideas with a few select friends, but only to a degree.
While it is summarized as ‘a story of betrayal and forgiveness’, I felt there was so much more. The symbolism is quite apparent throughout the tale, and not just with what each Major Arana of the Tarot represents (for each chapter). There are awareness lessons that can be learned and applied by the reader in daily life if they so choose to see them. I found that I was very involved in this story as I was searching to connect the dots of the past and to see if peace within could be attained for the characters. A very great story that sweeps you along the way.

Hey Franki! That book looks real intersting! I'll have to check it out when I get the chance. Have you ever read anything from the author; Eugenia Riley? Roxy and her mom introduced her to me and I love her time traveling books!! Embers of Time was really good.

I love the time travel going back to the Medieval (Highlanders), American Western and too Civil War. I think tho because those are the ones that I read so far! With the TT back to Civil War, it was Kristin Hannah when she wrote romance, her firsts books, ONCE IN EVERY LIFE. But I mostly like the historical settings of Medieval, Victorian, Regency and Westerns, so would love recommendations of those TT back to! Thanks! And too thanks for the great welcome from you all!

Deception Past, I never read anything from the setting of Roman empire thru WWII, I do know that I prefer the earlier historicals rather than around WWI and WWII. I prefer those I mentioned above since I'm familiar with that time period to understand better.

Speaking of Highlanders have you ever heard of an author by the name of Karen Marie Moning? She writes a really good Highlander series, you might want to check it out.

Hello, everyone! My favorite TT Romance Author is Lynn Kurland. She doesn't go beyond PG-13 and her characters are wonderful! I love them.

Dragonfly DreamsMy apologies to all if I failed to introduce my latest, Dragonfly Dreams. It's a romance in 3 parts. In the 3rd part the characters discover something very exciting through past life regression.
I was sick, had surgery, did some hospital time, and now I'm better. Writing my next novel: 5 women tell the stories of their lives through 3 incarnations (all historical figures). Anyway, I hope you like Dragonfly Dreams.

I Love that title sounds so elegant and pretty, once I get the time I'll check it out.

Sorry to here about your health, I do hope you are feel better Franki. I myself was in the hospital for most of the year last year and had 3 surguries, they are not fun. Cheers to your health and God Bless you!!
