Jacob walked around the school, it seemed to be empty. Was he meant to be at school. It was Tuesday, thats a school day... where was everyone?

Daphne shrugged out of her heavy coat - why her gurdian had forced her into it she had no idea it was so hot her hair was sweating if that was possible. She sighed and got out of her convertible X5 - a gift from her father she suppresed her anger getting into a fight wasn't the best way to make new friends. Giving one last longing glance at her new car she strolled in.

Jacob casually walked around the school looking to see if anyone was there

Daphne gritted her teeth as a girl shoved past her - she was trying to keep her sarcastic replys to a minimum this was her last chance else she could kiss her allowance good-bye

Daphne strolled into english - she was a little late and felt akward as the others glanced at her - she rolled her eyes and went to sit in the back- typical.

Jacob found his class and walked in slowly. he too was late to his English class

Daphne glanced up as the door swung open and felt a smug satisfaction at not being the only late comer. The boy looked slightly flustered she noted. She blinked and looked down as she realised she was starring at him

Jacob noticed them all starring at him but he saw the one girl was starring more until she looked away. "Sorry im late."

Daphne glanced up again. Oops she thought maybe I should have apologised. She shrugged and glanced around the room but settled on the late comer

Jacob looked around for a seat and the only one available was next to Daphne

Daphne raised an eyebrow at him. She was about to ask him the social codes of the school when the teacher asked her something. "I don't have the course books yet! I just got here" she said tartly. The teacher glared at her but Daphne could only shrug

Jacob looked into his bag and grabbed out what he had. "Sames for me. i have nothing."

The teacher told them to go to the resource room. Daphne sighed dramatically causing a few chuckles and another stern look from the teacher. "After you" she said looking at Jacob

Jacob walked out before her. "So your new too."

Daphne shrugged "obviously" she said and pushed the door open to the resource room

Jacob rolled his eyes. He grabbed out the text books he needed

Dapne looked at the heavy text books and sighed she turned and reached for the door handle it was locked. She turned to glare at Jacob "what did you do? The door won't open" she said

Jacob looked back to her. "What? I didnt do anything, i didn't even touch the door."

Daphne narrowed her eyes then looked back at the door in dismay - locked in here. "Should we scream?" She said more to herself

Jacob shrugged. "If you want."

Daphne twisted her hand through her hair. "Do you think you could push it and all?"

Jacob nodded. "I could try."

Daphne nodded "Go ahead then" she said gesturing for him to continue

Jacob shrugged and tried to push the door open

Daphne humphed in frustration "I cant believe this" she said slowly

"Do you wanna help?" Jacob asked

Daphne raised an eyebrow at him "I cant help you push a locked door open" she said rolling her eyes. She glanced around the dark room and sat down on one of the chairs "Well at least I want get in trouble for skipping" she said smiling slightly

Jacob rolled his eyes. "You got a clip or a bobby pin?" he asked

Daphne couldn't help laughing "don't tell me you can pick locks?" She said still chuckling "and I thought I was the bad one"

He shrugged. "Iv had practice."

Daphne raised an eyebrow "o really? And what kinda practice is that?"

"Breaking into a store with a few mates.. breaking into cars..." He shrugged

Daphne laughed softly "I didn't peg you for the type" she said sounding oddly impressed "I suppose this isn't your first school either?"

He shook his head. "No."

Daphne smiled "yeah I thought as much" she sighed and and blinked - am I really flirting with him?

"Well do you have one?" He asked her again

Daphne looked at him in confusion "sorry, I totally fazed. What was I asking you? Hold on what?" She said tugging at her hair

"A bobby pin or clip... do you have one?" He asked her

Daphne got off her chair and shook out her hair, then she began checking her pockets. "Nope, sorry." She said shrugging

Jacob nodded. "Ok ahh..." he wasnt sure what else would work

Daphne shrugged "guess we are stuck in here" she said with nonchalance but she got up and started searching the room. "So?" she said glancing at Jacob "When did you move here?"

"A few months ago. You?" He asked her looking around for things to use

The door suddenly burst open - Daphne looked up in surprise it was their teacher "I send you to get books and you are making out Principles Office now" she shrieked

Daphne stormed out "We where not! - I am not getting in trouble because of the schools cheap doors. I am not going"

Jacob looked at the door. "What? We were not. I was trying to find ways of getting out of here considering the door was locked!"

Daphne nodded "Exactly, so you should apologise to us not the other way around" she said smugly

The teacher shook her head "The principle will be calling your homes" she said before turning away

Daphne cursed "Can you believe her? My dad is going to flip"

Jacob rolled his eyes and was about to kick the door. "Great... now mum's gonna kick me out."

Daphne looked at him with sympathy "You Mum reminds me of my Dad" she said leaning on a locker - she looked at her watch - they had been in the room for an our and a half. "Do you want to get out of here?"

Jacob nodded. 'Hell yea."

Daphne chuckled "I think I am beginning to like you" she said as they walked out the school building
