Cathy (cathygreytfriend) | 55 comments Most of the stuff I read is a little bit lighter, but a librarian friend of mine, who I get a lot of urban fantasy recommendations from, has a great blog with horror and thriller reviews, if you're interested: http://theundeadrat.com/ You could ask him your specific question there, too, he'll definitely have ideas for you.

message 3: by Sandra (new)

Sandra G, sorry haven't seen 'The Prophecy' but I take it you want bad/dangerous angels.

If so, Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series would fit, first 2 books are Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh Archangel's Kiss (Guild Hunter, #2) by Nalini Singh .

I absolutely LOVED EVERMORE, but thought BLUE MOON was pretty bad, and SHADOWLAND was a complete waste of my valuable reading time!

Tamara | 9 comments J.R. Ward fallen angels series is really good first book to the series is covet and then crave I'm not sure when the next one comes out.

message 16: by Julia (new)

Julia | 615 comments I am not into the angels thing, except for Thomas Sniegoski's A Kiss Before the Apocalypse and the other books about Remy Chandler. He's a Boston PI and he works with a policeman, but the only apocalypse is is in the title. It's a lot like Raymond Chandler & Dashiele Hammet, except for the angel thing...

Barry James (mondragoran) | 25 comments oooooo I know what you would like. Realms of Shadow by Barry James!

Oh wait. I haven't finished writing it yet. ;)

But maybe next year!

Armand (armand-i) | 43 comments My old buddy, William Maxwell, has a horror/ fantasy thriller coming out that has angels. It's called Shadowpath. I think it should be out in a few months.

Jamie Welch (caligurl1981) | 1 comments Hello! I just started reading Blood and Feathers by Lou Morgan which deals with the war between heaven and hell, the fallen and angels..it's an urban fantasy and so far I like it a lot ( though I'm not that far :) ) I loved the prophecy series so I hope this helps! Blood and Feathers (Blood and Feathers, #1) by Lou Morgan

message 22: by Harlequin Books (new)

Harlequin Books (harlequinbooks) | 23 comments The Demoness of Waking Dreams (The Company of Angels, #2) by Stephanie Chong is the second book, out this month, in the Company of Angels miniseries.

The first book is Where Demons Fear to Tread (The Company of Angels, #1) by Stephanie Chong

message 23: by Mike (new)

Mike Shevdon (shevdon) I very much enjoyed Blood and Feathers by Lou Morgan which is recently released in the UK. I'm not familiar with the film you mention so can't compare with that, though.

Hope that works for you.

Okay, now that someone finally reminded me of the title of this book, I'll recommend Archangel. It's not a traditional UF, but it is an amazing book. Kind of sci fi meets fantasy with angels.

Christine | 752 comments I second and third the recs for A Kiss Before the Apocalypse (Remy Chandler, #1) by Thomas E. Sniegoski and Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh and would throw in Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee

message 26: by J.P. (new)

J.P. McLean (jpmclean) I recently read Linda Poitevin's Sins of the Angels and Sins of the Sons, two of her Grigori Legacy books. She puts an interesting spin on angel mythology and throws a strong female lead in to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Sins of the Angels (Grigori Legacy, #1) by Linda Poitevin Sins of the Son (Grigori Legacy, #2) by Linda Poitevin

message 27: by Karinloos (new)
