Action Heroine Fans discussion

This is a thread where you all can broach ideas you have for anything to improve this group (new features, policies, etc.). One of my other groups has a similar thread, so I thought it might be useful here, too. (Think of it as an electronic suggestion box!)

The next time you visit our group's home page, you'll notice it has a different (and hopefully better!) look. That's because I finally decided that, with 25 topics, we could benefit from having them organized into folders. So, I created four of the latter: Introductions and group business; General discussions; Specific authors/books/heroines; and Group members who write. Hopefully, this will make it easier to find particular threads, and show a bit more, upfront, of the variety that there is here. If you have any feedback or suggestions about the folders, this is the place to share it!

I like the reorganization. It should encourage a wider range of topics and comments.

A post on another thread got me to thinking that this suggestion might be worth making: if you run across a particularly helpful review (your own, or someone else's) of a book that's discussed or should be discussed on one of our threads, feel free to post a link to it! Many of us make use of Goodreads reviews in deciding what we want (or don't want) to read; so that will give people who might be interested in a particular book a chance to get a perspective on it.

sounds like a good plan. would you like us to use the general categories that are already set up, like UF, spies, etc?

Yes, you can definitely use threads that are already set up. But if you think of another category, or another individual author/character, that needs a thread, you can also always feel free to start one!

No special ideas, just been reading some of the threads.

Just wanted to pop in and say Thanks to Mr. Werner. I can see he has a passion for this and puts a lot of himself into his responses. I dont expect this will be one of the heavily trafficked threads in the whole of Good Reads, but I am glad its here, and passionate people still follow it.

Yes, I was the founding moderator of this group (I just stepped down last year because I felt, at the time, that I needed to cut back on my Goodreads involvements to make more time for family responsibilities); but I still do have a special fondness for action heroines, and for this group. I'm glad that it still resonates and fills a niche for fellow fans!
