Okay, I don't think I've seen a Christian group with more members than this one!

http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/9...

Do you think they would maybe get mad if we…well…Sandy, you're insane… Okay, fine. I was thinking of sorta. *sigh* Muslims are pretty hardened against the gospel though… aldkjfakdhbnvfbvkeryufh

Chiara ♪*CheesecakeLover*♪ | 684 comments What do you think they would think if they saw our devotion to God?

Chiara ♪*CheesecakeLover*♪ | 684 comments Is that not what some of us are doing to them? We are saying that it's really sad that they've found they're religion, and aren't they going to be sad that we've found OUR religion?

message 7: by Sandy (new)

Sandy (sandycrow) | 373 comments Mod
Yeah they would be sad, but… well, it's sad that they would be sad… if that makes sense. The point is, they have a false hope and a blind faith. True, they'd say the same thing about us, but the fact is we know that our God is the one true God.

Chiara ♪*CheesecakeLover*♪ | 684 comments There's no arguing with that!

Rachel (aka. Kaiserin Sisi) (looney-lovegood) | 200 comments Muslims don't generally look down on Christians and Jews. We are all "People of the Book", meaning that we all worship the God of Abraham. They believe that we are worshiping the right God, just in an out-dated way. At least, that's what the Muslim girls at my school believe, along with the others I've talked with.

Chiara ♪*CheesecakeLover*♪ | 684 comments My school has atheists, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims as far as I know. There may be others.

Chiara ♪*CheesecakeLover*♪ | 684 comments OK, I seriously do not think it's sad that they have found their God. We're all climbing up the same mountain!

message 12: by Sandy (new)

But their God is false and unless they believe in Christ they won't be going to heaven. Don't you think that's sad?

Chiara ♪*CheesecakeLover*♪ | 684 comments Well, they don't believe in Heaven, do they?

message 14: by Sandy (new)

Sandy (sandycrow) | 373 comments Mod
No. But don't you agree that if a person isn't in the Lord when they die they're going to hell?

message 15: by Sandy (new)

Sandy (sandycrow) | 373 comments Mod
Even if you don't believe. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord…

Chiara ♪*CheesecakeLover*♪ | 684 comments Sandy wrote: "No. But don't you agree that if a person isn't in the Lord when they die they're going to hell?"

Well...I personally don't believe in hell. As in, I don't believe in this red fiery place with the devil in where all the 'bad' people go. I believe everyone goes to Heaven with Our Father, unless they have done something wrong, so they go to...somewhere else, but not a red fiery place with the devil in.

Rachel (aka. Kaiserin Sisi) (looney-lovegood) | 200 comments Not yet. Quite frankly, he is the main reason that I don't post on the main debate group anymore. :P

Rachel (aka. Kaiserin Sisi) (looney-lovegood) | 200 comments Ha ha, that is an excellent way to describe him. I never thought of that.

My main problem with him, though, is the fact that he makes such vast generalizations about religious people. Generalizations and stereotypes about people bother me so much when taken seriously. I mean, they can make for a good parody, or for a good bit of analysis (finding the truth behind every stereotype), but they are almost never universally true from my experience.

People can join the group for that, to meet new people, to discuss non-"Hot Button" issues, that sort of stuff. We used to have a topic for those "Hot Button" issues, but the debate devolved into insults, like many debates do.
