I have never read tales from watership down... but essentially Watership Down is famous not only because the author is a good writer, but because it is a metaphor for socialism. All of the other group they encounter are examples of some other form of goverment... that is what puts watership down over the top into a top 100 book. But Tales from Watership Down sounds great.
